And the Delusions Continue - scUM Belly Spring Game

  • Just read this online about scUM's Spring Game! lol
    no

Here was the line that sounded familiar as it was telling about the entire farce known as Michigan's Spring Game.

"How it went down: This wasn't a full fledged spring game because of depth issues, and instead Michigan held a 60-play controlled scrimmage. The offense technically won 17-0, but the defense still claimed victory." - Brian Bennett (ESPN.com)

You remember this was the same type of comments made about the S&G prior to 2011's disaster season. And what was funny as hell was that some idiot made the first comment on this blog post that said the following:

"we looked good Hoke will have UM ready for September." - Some scUM loser fan

I almost pissed on myself with laughter when I read this post! Yea I know its only Spring and there is a long way to go, but this was still very funny.

    Again, the delusions just continue.

The beat down at the hands of Alabama is on its way. Someone needs to tell scUM Belly that the light in front them just happens to be a speeding train! Here's to hoping that Saban puts up +50 on scUM and their "vaunted" defense!

    clap.......biggrin

I hope that tOSU spring game will be an actual game with kick offs, punts returns, and two teams competing instead of the rediculous charade the scUM game was.

I believe I read there will be no kickoffs, there will be punts but no returns.

    This.

They don't want to risk anyone getting injured since returns are pretty violent.

Are you having a flashback to the 60's? That long haired guy scored five touchdowns against the Bucks last year, had a sixth called back. Know who is the last person to score 5 td's on the Bucks before Robinson?

Dude whatever. He's still 1-2 against the Buckeyes and I like the Buckeyes chances in the Fall.
When he leaves scUM at the end of his career he will be 1-3 and I will be totally okay with that.

Now how's that one grab you? shrug
Care to make a wager on how this ass whipping...err...game turns out?

Screw Robinson. Not worried about this kid at all.

I don't really know the answer to this question either and it is quite a feat for any player to score 5 touchdowns in a game. Also, Robinson is a hell of an electric player there is no doubt about it. At the same time, you do have to take in to account that was one of the worst defenses we have had in quite some time. They were very dinged up and not to mention had a whole plethora of off the field issues the team dealt with the whole year. All of that and a very anemic offense and they still only won by 6. LIke I said 5 touchdowns is an amazing accomplishment and I have no qualm with Robinson he is a hell of a talent but it's not like he scored those 5 tds on a defense like the 2010 season. Matter of fact how many touchdowns has he had in The Game before last season?

1 TD between the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

As you alluded to, the 2011 team was the worst team since 1897. No Joke.

Exactly. Now I get those were bad teams but on a very bad OSU team last year Braxton accounted for 3 TDs himself as a TRUE freshmen. 2 passing tds and 1 rushing not too shabby either on a team that was in disarray all year and no reliable receivers and had to be somewhere in top of our rushers last year as well.

Good point. Despite playing on a horrible team in 2010, before he went out in the first half with the injury he had already rushed for over 100 yards, more than anyone, including Clay, had against the Buckeyes in an entire game in the previous 35 games. And despite the sub par game against the Bucks that year he rushed for more yards in the season than any qb in D1 history. He's a talented kid. Braxton has similar potential.

Definitely. Our performance against Michigan in the 2011 game was a bigtime indictment of their defense given how bad we were offensively.

You can tell it's just desperation on the part of their fans. They've been wanting to feel good about their team (and who can blame them for that) for so many years now and the cupcake schedule they had last year let them get a taste. I just don't think it's going to be something that lasts that long -- their season will be tougher this year with Alabama and within the next few years (maybe next year I haven't checked their schedule), they'll actually have to play some teams in the B10 and not keep avoiding Penn State & Wisconsin -- we'll also have a competently coached football team this year and moving forward so they won't be able to expect us to be as horrible as we were in 2011.
