I was nervous right up to the point I saw sweat hit R. Wilson's arm and the ball flopping to the ground.

Yeah, I was nervous considering the blown coverage on the previous Wisky TD.

Nervous, no. Upset that OSU had somehow snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, yes. The continued ( though not unexpected) offensive malaise and the 2nd MAJOR defensive collapse of the year is frustrating.

I have to admit that I am surprised that OSU won this game with the extremely poor passing game.

Of course. This isn't our secondary of old. This one has at times shown the inability to either break up a pass or most especially take the ball away from opposing receivers, so I definitely was. Not to mention the fact that their O-line had each of our D-linemen covered throughout most of the game, thus preventing them from getting to Wilson more.

We were up against a highly efficient and productive offense that plays til the final whistle. And it was their plan to do to us what had been done to them just the week before on the last play of the game.

I was nervous but never more nervous than I was with :00 on the clock and a free untimed play. I thought, "Oh, God, the Fickell finger of fate is going to have the last laugh on us."
