  • If I remember correct Ohio only fielded 10 bcs conference players while Pennsylvania fielded 24+ bcs conference players.

Great win for these young men

That is a stupid comment, 'If your Aunt had balls, she'd be your Uncle' ! What do you think would have happened 'if' all of our Ohio State commitments had played (Dunn, Pittman, Dodson, Washington, Perry, Powell, Decker, Thomas, Elflein, Roberts) ? It damn sure would have been a different story. GO BUCKEYES.

Dude, chill out. He's a Buckeye fan who was just giving Noah Spence a compliment.

  • If I'm not mistaken, a kid can only play in one "national level" all star game plus anyone already enrolled at tOSU or another college would have ben exempt. That left bogard, murray, epitropolous and ball. From what I read Ohio's o'connor, who is going to Michigan St, was the MVP. And andre jones had 3 ints plus Ohio had @ least 1 more in OT. Sounds to me like QB play and defense were the deciding factors.

Turn overs after were a factor in this gaming. If I remember correct Ohio had 1 while Penn had 5.

  • It was nice watching PA lose, their D-Line was better #54 was blowing things up. Actually. DEFENSE & special teams stepped up for Ohio.

PA wound up w/6 TOs including 5 INTs which allowed Ohio to come back from 21-7 and tie the score and force OT. 3 of Ohio's picks were in the 4Q and 1 in OT. The tying TD was on a fumbled KO recovered in the end zone.

MSU QB Tyler O'Connor completed 8 passes for 161 yards including an 85-yard TD strike to Ohio State's Najee Murray. Murray was named Ohio's MVP. Ohio's D held Pitt RB Rushel Shell to 23 yards on 5 carries.

Personally I think games like this are a waste. They don't feature the 2 states' very best players. No one wants to get hurt. It's a HS version of the Pro Bowl.

  • I watched the end of the game and OT. I had no idea it was on the NFL network or I would have watched the whole game. Jones kid from Ohio seems like a pretty good player. I think he is going to Cincy. Might be wrong though.

he is going to cincy, but those passes that he picked off were awful...i was amazed that the qb's from each squad received mvp honors...its almost like

they decided to pick the least worst qb on each team and give them a trophy...

That would have been a great team. Point is, though, we still won without 90% of those guys and, again, early enrollees like Dunn, Bolden and Pittman would not have been eligible.

Also, just for the record, Caleb Stacey's going to UC, not scUM.

    Thanks GoBuxGo for the correction!

I truly feel that if the above players would have comprised the Ohio team and Mauk's dad would have coached the offense, Pa would not have been within 3 scores of Ohio. IMHO.

Curious: is the "least worst" a left-handed way of calling them "the best" while also saying none of them were very good?
