Bri'onte Passes Drug Test

  • The results of Bri’onte Dunn’s drug test in Columbus show there were no signs of illicit drugs in the Ohio State freshman running back’s system. Brion Dunn, the father of Bri’onte Dunn, said his son had to take the drug test earlier this week when he returned to Columbus.

“It was clean,” Brion Dunn said. “He had to go through an outside facility, and Ohio State said he had to have the test done.”

Dunn is facing a minor misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct, as well as a seat belt violation and a tail light violation as a result of a traffic stop late Saturday night.

Alliance police initially cited Dunn for drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. However, Alliance City Law Director Andrew Zumbar reviewed the evidence — police reports, cruiser video and witness statements — and said the proper charge is disorderly conduct, not the drug charges.

Dunn’s father said his son is in the process of seeking legal counsel for the disorderly conduct charge.

Ohio State Head Coach Urban Meyer has not made a statement on Dunn’s situation. Meyer has, however, taken a tough stance at Ohio State on players who get into trouble off the field.

yeah, idk what to think...but if the kid passed a drug test, that does say something.

  • This makes me very happy, to hear he is clean.

He seems like an awesome kid, and I believe he will stay that way.

  • Disorderly conduct covers a wide range of possibilities, including something as innocuous as, "Aww, f^ck! Are you f'ing sh*tting me? Where did that come from? That ain't mine! It ain't mine! Motherf^cker!" that the cop may have taken offense to hearing come out of an 18 year old's mouth.

  • Cops can't take offense to anything. Someone from the "Public'' would have to complain. This is just a catch all if you don't have anything else to charge them with.

  • i still think the best part of this whole thing is his mom is taking blame. if he passed a drug test though, hard to believe he was lying i guess. i dont really know how long weed sticks in urine, i know it sticks in your hair for awhile

  • the disorderly conduct is really nothing. disorderly conduct for brionte was him probably overreacting to being arrested, just like anyone who believe they are innocent would do. that is a huge non-issue.

In my youth I was arrested and charged w/disorderly. I was sleeping in a parking lot. I sat down on a curb, and yada, yada...fell asleep -too much to drink of course.

Other than what does that say about his mother, a weed smoking, pipe hiding role model for moms everywhere...not! That's a bit of whispered-behind-her-back notoriety that's going to follow her around wherever she goes.

She may be the first woman to qualify for both the Best Mom and Worst Mom of the Year awards, simultaneously.

  • ...brionte should have told the cops the weed belonged to his cousin, dymonte thomas...

  • I'm glad to hear he's getting his life in order because ever since my son layed the lumber to Brionte's thigh with his face (followed by the rest of his body) back in 8th grade he hasn't been the same. :) smiley face since i have no idea how to add one.
