Around the 'Shoe

Easy buddy. I played with hicks in high school and am still good friends with him today. He is one of the most level headed kids I have ever been around. He is an all around amazing person who has never had any off the field issues or grade problems. This is a very bad situation for him but I believe there is nothing here but accusations. Still doesn't look good but I actually know this kid on a personal basis and he is nowhere near the type of kid to pull that. I still talk him with him till this day to transfer to tOSU and just because he chose Texas (childhood favorite) over Ohio state doesn't mean I have ever treated him different. He's also battled several injuries in his time at Texas and was behind an nfl guy to start. He is by no means over rated and would hands down have started here with the weak LBs we have. Again he is a great human being and a great football player. Sometimes the people on this site need to take off the shades and realize that NOT every football player in Ohio has the passion for Ohio State that we have. It's just the way it is. This kid was a Texas lock but he did love tressel and admitted he was the hardest coach to say no to. Not trying to bash you but I just want people to know the great person he is because I ACTUALLY KNOW HIM and to wait till the facts come out before rushing to judgement. I have no doubts that if he were at OSU he would be a top 3 fan favorite based on the person he is, his endless work ethic, and natural ability to play the game. That's my 2 cents but what do I know? I'm only good friends with him...

I like to stay away from judgement on these things because I know there a lot of lying bitches out there who will do anything to ruin a mans life.

That is what I was thinking. The article from ESPN didnt have many details but since there are two guys being investigated that is probably what happened. These are two college football players, I am pretty sure they do not need to rape a girl to get laid. Girl felt guilty, like a whore, ashamed, ect.. in the morning. Now of course this is just a guess. If these two guys did force themselves on her than I hope they get what they deserve.

Well, guilty or not, they obviously don't have much respect for Mack Brown or the rules of the football team to miss curfew.

Mack is on his way out, I'm sensing the same "loss of control" of his last few teams much like Coop lost our boys back in the day.

Once a team doesn't fear the coach, they do what they want.

This reminds me of what happened to that player from Kansas State the year we played them in the Bowl game, their QB I think. I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out that this chick was an Oregon State student/fan.

I don't need to be Hick's friend to know people are capable of evil acts no matter how good they seemed to be. Ted Bundy was very charismatic and well liked individual. Probably had lots of friends who thought well of him. Maybe Ted Bundy was innocent too?

I'm sure Mr. Hicks is very fortunate to have such a loyal friend like you. However, friendship does not determine guilt or innocence.And unless you were there......you really don't know anymore than we do. And while we all hope nobody would committ such a horrific crime we all know it still happens.
