An OSU spokesman confirmed for The Dispatch that linebacker Connor Crowell and OL Joey O'Connor no longer will be with the team.
Crowell had two surgeries following one in high school and won't be medically cleared. O'Connor transferring closer to Colorado home.

Crowell will not be medically cleared to play by the OSU medical staff. O’Connor has requested a transfer to be closer to home.

Vaya con Dios, fellas.
Hasta luego, vatos.
Well this clears up how we were going after a few more recruits.
Crowell, I think the handwriting was on the wall. But I wish O'Connor would have stayed. If he wants to be closer to home, does that mean Colorado or Colorado State or maybe a team they play against, i.e, one of the Pac-12 North's teams?
Thanks for the updates guys. Too bad on Joey, but hey I have been through homesickness myself so best of luck to him and hopefully Crowell will recover from his injuries.
Agreed. I would have liked to see Joey stay, but...what can you do?
Good luck to both of them!
Damn, not like we are deep at LB or OL. Those are two positions where it hurts.
Oh well, makes some room for Skipper, Hunt, Wilson and Bell.
Trying to remain optimistic on Bell although I know he's all Tide.

not upset since both would be of little to no help this season and maybe ever in terms of football. micrfracture surgery is a surgery that is still relatively new and the healing process is completely unknown, especiall for an 18 year old. crowell, doctors said it all. if he cant be cleared to play in general then there's nothing in terms of depth he could bring. it's a shame but it's part of the sport sadly
i agree but microfracture surgery says a lot to me. he wouldnt have added depth this season anyways
Speaking of injuries, I wonder how Bogard is doing?
Really bummed about O'conner. Thought he was going to be a good one. Homesickness?
sad O'conner had a legit shot at 2 deep.
Hate to see us lose an o-lineman
Yeah it's hard to blame a kid who wants to get closer to home.
Living at home then going someplace where you only get home once/twice a year is a world altering change.
Not every kid can do it- I don't fault the one who can't.
