Please let 2013 be a better year for me and my family than 2012. Lets see, in 2011 I lost my job with at&t and that carried over to 2012, since then I've lost my house to the bank, as soon as they seen all the medical bills piling up they bought it from under us and didn't bother to tell us until 3 months after it happened, my family and I have to be out March 1st. My wife got cancer which we still don't know if the surgery and radiation got it all or not. I lost-surrendered my SUV to the bank. The only real good thing that happened in 2012 is I gained 2 beautiful grand kids! Sorry for the rant and laying this on my Buckeye family, I'm just so stressed right now I feel like driving my truck into a tree so my wife could get the $250,000 life insurance money.

WWW.WTSAC.ORG Woody & Tony's Strokes Against Cancer.
Wow. Sorry to hear that IB. I'm sure things will turn for ya. Real soon. Hang in there.
2013 will be a better year. Believe it. Breathe it. Bank on it.
Thanks Digger and Iowa, hope you guys have a great 2013!! If my new weight lifting system I'm designing is as good as I think it will be, I should be able to take a few select friends to the Ohio State Michigan game my treat.
IB, you are a great man and a true, loyal Buckeye fan..and as Buckeye's we are taught that suffering is something that we must sometimes endure...2009 / 2010 for me was professionally as bad as yours, losing a career, house, and everything else in Omaha...certainly no cancer, but a divorce as icing after 20 years.. The cusp of 2013 finds me living in SLC running a growth company, remarried to a law professional 20 years my junior who understands (and sometimes exceeds) my drive, work-aholic nature and shares my passion for life, love and Buckeye Football. On December 21st 2009 I lost my house and on December 21st 2012, I was approved for a new one...Keep pushing my friend, I too had dark thoughts during the down days, but the sun always comes up tomorrow and whether you realize it or not, there are people in your everyday life who draw strength and charachter from you.. Hold your head up and go fight for those three yards while you create that cloud of dust!
How firm thy friendship O-HI-O
Hang in there IB, listen to Schooba. Its always darkest before the dawn. I'll be praying for you guys to pull through it.
"Buckeye born and bred, a Buckeye 'til I'm dead"
Thank you for the encouraging words, pretty bad when I get more support from my Buckeye family than i do my birth family!!
I don't know you from Adam, but I'd rather you rant and let it out. I can't top 2 beautiful grand kids, so you are way ahead of me there. Always keep them in your thoughts.
I wish you and yours better times ahead for the coming year. Thoughts for your wife.
Shock of shocks is that there are few more surprising things in life than those who you thought would be there but aren't..Forget it man, words are cheap and if you expect people to be there for you, it rarely turns that way... Sad, but true..Your wife and grandbabies need you, live thru them and show them the way.. The lines below come from a longer paper called "A Farmers Advice" they got me through the dark days, I hope they get you through the darkness as well...
1) Always drink upstream from the herd.
2) Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.
3) Always keep skunks, bankers and lawyers at a distance.
4) Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.
5) Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of any rain dance.
6) Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get gotten to.
7) The biggest troublemaker you will ever have to deal with watches you from the mirror each and every morning.
8) Good decisions come from experience, and a lot of experience comes from bad judgment.
9) If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.
10) Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.
I'll add one more for SEC fans...brush your teeth.

I am a true believer that good things happen for good people and you have shown me nothing to believe you anything other than a good person. Keep the faith as blessing truly are disguised sometimes. Wishing you and your family all the best in 2013.
Lost my Father this year to cancer. Fucking horrible disease.
2012 can go to hell.
Looking forward to a normal 2013 with a buckeye NC.
"man we got some fuckin weirdos on this site." - Davebucknut 9/5/13 post of the year
Sorry to hear that chuck, I'm not going to say 2013 can't be any worse, at least I still have my wife-best friend but that could change in 2013, the verdicts not in yet.
Don't even think of doing that man! Please don't. Try to think of your family without you, not the money! Things have been bad, they can only get better! If you need someone to speak with, just let me know brother!
Things will get better in'13 for you IB,I'll keep u in my prayers....Tee it high and let it fly in 2013....drink some beer tonight...I'll have one 4 ya!!!!!!
I wouldn't brother, just feel like it sometimes but I know my family needs me. I would never take the cowards way out and leave my wife, kids and Grand kids but right now I feel like a complete failure as a husband father grandfather, it's my job to take care of them and I've blown it big time. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes, it does mean the world to me knowing someone out there does care!!!
IB & Chuck...my thoughts are with you both...that's some pretty strong stuff you guys are dealing with. Just hang in there...not easy that's for sure. Come in here and blow some steam if you want, we'll listen if that helps.
Your wife's been in my prayers since you told us about it and will continue to be. Fight the good fight.
I hope 13 is a great year for you; I still have faith for you my friend.
Thanks Indy that's good stuff
Good lord have mercy. Strong men and women in this world have cashed in chips for less, yet I read your words and can only think how strong you really are. I lost my marriage, house, and car this past year. I know what looking through the trees and finding no path is like but brother not only WILL you continue on but your bucknutters will walk with you and you are in our prayers!
You are worth far more than any insurance money. Those babies would not remember you and would have to rely on stories from others about how loving you were.
My friend, I will share with you that I was in a similar situation a few years ago upon moving to GA. I lost my job and things were falling apart. Our family finances were a wreck and the marriage was failing due to stress. I am worth over a million dead and thought of having an "accident". It would've paid off everything and the kids' college funds are taken care of. I pushed forward and things are turning around. I don't know how, but we are close....
My best prayers and wishes are with you. It will get better.
Chuck, we never agree. However, I am sorry for your loss. Best wishes for next year. My prayers are with you. Burrying the hatchet......
No thanks needed at all. We are all brothers here and that is why we are so close. I haven't been on this board for all that long, and I have no idea who you are, but we are Buckeye Brothers and it will always be that way. And because of that, I would love to help in any way that I can. That's how we are.
Keep your head up ItalianBuck. Your wife needs you and so do those beautiful grandchildren. You mean more to them than the money. I pray that things turn around for you in 2013. Keep the faith brother!
Sorry to hear all this IB. You sound like a great guy. What kind of weightlifting system are you talking about? A machine based system?
