If true and he's on the roster now and from out of state, who could that be? O'Connor?
I read somewhere that Indiana is recruiting Tim Gardner hard and trying to flip him. Don't quote me on that but I think I saw it on 11W's latest B1G recruiting update.
Word is O'connor. I have a "who cares" approach to this bc to me the only reason a player would be leaving is bc the writing is on the wall that they wouldnt make it here. OR theyre homesick which makes them a huge vagina who i dont want protecting my QB anyhow. On to the next one. Get em UFM!!!
19 year olds being home sick. that's never happened before so lets call him a huge pussy
Awwwww, that hit a nerve huh. Haha. Yes it has happened before. To other poon's
Ohio State isn't for everyone. When I was a student I actually thought of transferring just due to the enormity of it, I'm glad I didn't but there are several reasons why a kid may leave. Even if the kid is homesick, how does that make him a pvssy? Why be unhappy?
Jesus. We're talking kids who accepted full ride scholarships to play football! Guys that are supposed to be alot tougher than the average student. What percentage of football players with schollies transfer? Very small. What percentage of those transfers leave due to being homesick as opposed to PT, coaching change, brighter pastures etc? REALLY small. And there you have the mental poons
I understand a student paying their own way getting homesick etc. By all means go closer to home to make it easier on yourself. But if you accept a scholarship to play football, of all things, you man up

we're talking about 18/19 year olds who have never been away from home until now. there's no difference between them and a normal 18/19 year old who is a 3 hour plane ride away from home
Other than being a friggin football player with a full scholarship there isnt much of a difference
Well, if he goes, he goes. It's his decision, his life, his loss. Whether he is homesick, or he knows he'll never cut it at OSU, all it really means is that it frees up another schollie for UFM to issue to a young man who wishes to accept the challenge of attempting to earn the privilege of what it is to be an Ohio State Buckeye.

OLs burn out more than other positions, IMHO. It happens. Last year Michigan recruited Caleb Stacey out of Cincy, he got homesick before NSD, decommitted and committed to Cincy, and before September was out of football all together. It is just one of those things.
so he doesnt have emotions that 18 year olds have. ok. makes total sense to me
umm i wasnt calling him a pussy. i was referencing sonnyd calling him a pussy. im in agreement with you
I didn't mean to quote you. My bad.
Before we prematurely bury O'Connor, let's at least wait to see if the rumor's true.
For the 1,000th time, We need more OL's.
I agree. What's the deal with us not being able to land a lot of them. We must get a 3rd guy in this class and must get at least 4 in 2014. It is a concern, and the one thing that might hurt us in our championship chase.
Give me a break. Just asking if you have ever gone away to school over 1000 miles away from home? Not everyone is the same. There a million reasons why he may go home or somewhere else. If he is not happy it is his life. Personally, I'd love to see him stay three plus years and become an AA. Quit looking at everything from a football perspective.
Obviously a moron. I tried to reason with you.....
That's the bottom line here.
Ol are made not recruited
True......Purdue is getting ready to see that first hand.
I absolutely agree. NFL is loaded with guys from non BCS schools, probably moreso than any other position.
Agree. I think what we are going to see here is some of these quick DL converted to OL, or both. And I'm thinking this is by design.
I crack up reading the comments about needing highly regarded linemen on here and where someone projects. Really? You can tell that by looking at film of all of these guys playing tackle and destroying 200 pound defensive ends? Dorian Johnson may or may not make it. I'll tell you one thing. If he had to block a guy like John Simon as a freshman starter he would be abused.
