im not expecting a verbal but maybe he had a very good visit ? any updates ?
Didnt his visit start today??????????
yeah. he's not going to commit this weekend. not sure why people have this belief he will
From Rivals: "In what may be its biggest visit weekend yet the Ohio State coaching staff will be hosing many of the top prospects left in play for the program. Arguably the top target for the Buckeyes this weekend will be Rossville (Ga.) Ridgeland safety Vonn Bell. Bell is coming off of a strong performance at the Under Armour All-American Game and is torn between Ohio State, Tennessee and Alabama after long having been considered a Vols lean. The receiver position is also catching plenty of attention this weekend as Cleveland Heights (Ohio) four-star Shelton Gibson, Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth four-star Cornelius Elder, East Mississippi C.C. four-star Corey Smith and Frankfort (Ky.) Franklin County three-star Ryan Timmons will all make their official visits. There is enough room for one, maybe two, of those players to join the program, and of the group all except Timmons holds an acceptable offer right now."
OT Cameron Hunt is at scUM this weekend.
i think it gets overblown a bit, but it's gonna be around 60 degrees this weekend. Better than a blizzard i guess.
There was chatter on 11W and other sites/boards that Urban would probably push for it.
Makes sense considering we don't have many spots left.
Brady Hoke licked the pizza boy's taint to get the scUM job.
if i was urban i would try....i mean this kid is a monster and has the makings of a great one....could take our already great defensive class and make it possibly legendary!
Any time you give a man something he doesn't earn, you cheapen him. Our kids earn what they get, and that includes respect.” - Woody Hayes
just asking if there was any good news ! not expecting a verbal.
im surprised there isnt a thread about this on "The Front Row" , , , ,
I think if we have a good showing that this could very well come down between us and Tennessee.
Tennessee is really the school to beat. Over the past two recruiting cycles we've seen Stefon Diggs and most recently James Quick choose their hometown schools over us. Schools who're not the big name as we are. Who won't have the chance to compete for national titles year in and year out. But that's what it is.
It'll be up to Coombs, Meyer and Withers to convince him that he'd be better served here carving his own niche and being a star as opposed to just another cog in a system or just another number. To carve his own niche as opposed to following his idol, Eric Berry's shadow.
And certainly the weather helps because Columbus, OH feels just like Rossville, GA!
Well, they aren't going to get any kids if they are hosing them as the first sentence from Rivals says..LOL...Unique recruiting style, to hose down they players with water..Ha...I know he ment hosting, but that's what spell check is for, right?
I think its come down to OSU and BAMA he's loves Urban Meyer and Satan I'll be surprised if he makes the Tennessee before committing to OSU or BAMA.
D bids had.this too say let's hope he's wrong.

@katzfan71 @Bill_Kurelic Yes, I'd say it's fair to say that OSU is not confident they'll land Vonn Bell.
I just saw read where Bell stated that Saban "is a DB coach and he's going to be coaching me".
Yeah but think he ment it as in if he does choose Alabama Saban will be the guy coaching him especially now because their DB coach went too be Florida St. d coordinator.
And Saban works with the DB's already.

I thought we had a great chance at Bell when i read that he hung out most of the time at the UA game with the Buckeye commits and he is bringing the whole family on this weekend's visit. But after also reading this quote, now I'm back to 50-50. Maybe bringing the whole family is just so they know what the trip would be like vs Bama or Tenn. ? I'll concede that the experts know what they are talking about regards Bell, but with Burrows, Apple, Conley, Thompson, Lee, Worley, Mitchell and Johnson all in this class...I think we will still be able to cobb together a suitable pass defense if he goes elsewhere.
UFM doesn't get enough credit here. Bell was considered a HEAVY Bama Lean before his State champ game and Meyer went down there and got a seat next to his family. Bell had been to Bama numerous times with no OV to tOSU and all of the sudden he changes his mind and decides to take an OV to tOSU with his entire family. I look for the recruiting team to push very hard for a commitment. If he is blown away, maybe he does. If he leaves undecided, then I will concede that he is going elsewhere.
Yeah Urban wowed him and family by doing that I do know Bell has family in Columbus too so hopefully that helps and his dad is also looking to transfer his job where Vonn chooses to go I'm not sure what he does but I Columbus has a great market in whatever it is.
I can hear the boo birds now: wherever Bell goes, accusations will follow that the school got his daddy a job.
You know whats kinda funny!? I would say the "weak" point in bama is their pass d . which saban coaches.
Imo, from the interviews I have watched he talks more about OSU than the other schools. Check out the video below. In it he talks about how Urban is close to his players and it is like a family. Towards the end he said it matters about the people around. Seems to me he likes the atmosphere that Urban is developing. I know it is all speculation, but that is what makes following recruiting fun.
Edited for video link, had wrong one up.

Not trying to sound ignorant here, but either get on board or get out of the way. What kind of message is this sending the young men who have already committed? Not sure what the numbers are (cue iowa), but seems to me we have a lot of DBs, especially with Worley now (who's not a LB). The kind of attention Bell is getting...will he live up to it? At this point, do we need him, or does he need us? Think about it.
I don't know how we do it, but Ohio high schools have to start producing these difference maker players on a more consistant basis.
Heres a link to Vonn Bells brothers twitter account, he has been tweeting about the visit all day and uploaded a picture of Bell in OSU gear. Last i heard they were eating steaks with urban and Griffin.
Come out, come out, wherever you are....
This is what close relative to Bell is saying about the visit.
"S/o @ryanshazier10 me and @TheVonnBell7 enjoyin The Ohio State #TurnUp"
"Heading to THE Ohio State University w @TheVonnBell7 #TurnUp pic.twitter.com/OYIWxQNY"
"Eatin w Urban talking to Archie Griffin #Legends"
"Dang another steak smh they gone make me move up here too"
"Ohio State making a good push"

And this is Alex over a 11W is hearing.
Update here from my sources----the visit is going FANTASTIC....if Osu doesn't get Bell they can look at themselves in the mirror and say they did everything in their power to land him....coaches, players, fellow recruits, fellow recruits' parents; everyone is on this
