If I could bring him back and let you, Chad, Bri, boom and IB interview him. It would be well worth it. Not joking!

It sure seemd to me and the TV announcers they were screwed out of a TD against Nebraska.
I cant stand McGloin and i thank him for all the pick 6's he's thrown to us. Which were obviously the refs fault
Hasnt tOSU been the most penalized team in the B1G for the last 10 years? By a large margin too if i recall correctly
We are this year again....But it would be said on their board (PSU) that in Big games, they get hosed, then in games they are blowing teams out is when they get penalties called on other team to even it out....
Ok, amendment to my original feelings on PSU....FUK EM.....a couple of tools over there, HamiltonLion and PSUbills62 can't stand a Buckeye having good conersations so they jump in to start a fight....So, I now hope PSU never pulls out of their funk, I hope this year is the best they will see for all of their lifetimes.....Only time I'll pull for them is against Michigan, and I won't even pull for them, I'll just hope Michigan forfeits.....
Honest question for you guys.
Why all the hatred towards PSU?
I have no hard feelings for OSU as a school or as a team. Just curious.
It's really lame if you hate an entire school and fan base because of posters on an online message board.
Specifically, the above link is a reference of the 2005 incident where your students tossed urine balloons at our band. Our band subsequently will no longer travel to Penn State.
Things like this are, in a nutshell, why Ohio State fans don't like Penn State fans, and likely similar for the rest of the country.
Yeah, I can understand that reasoning.
However, that's a few bad eggs out of a lot of fans. I'm sure OSU has a few of them as well.
Do you know any PSU fans outside of news articles or message boards? The vast majority of us are respectful and passionate about our teams.
The problem with those events I linked to is that they involved a number of folks and were highly publicized. That doesn't help the PSU fanbase's cause if they are trying to improve their reputation. Honestly most Ohio State fans (myself included) will probably hate PSU fans for the rest of our lives due to those types of events. Not to mention the way PSU fans have handled the sanctions and Paterno in particular hasn't endeared them to many non-PSU fanbases. IMO, time is the only thing that will heal the views on PSU fans. It will take older fans dying, and younger ones growing up without these types of events in their knowledge to get PSU's reputation as a bad fanbase to be fixed. But yes, all fanbases have some bad fans. What has killed PSU fans is the high publicity of the past few years' worth of events and the recent documented reactions to both sanctions, Paterno's firing.
In person, I know one Penn State fan here in Columbus, and she works in my building. I don't know her well at all as we work in totally different areas of the building. I don't really have much of an opinion on her positive or negative from my limited contact with her and have never talked football with her, so it's not enough data to really formulate an opinion on her.
I think your message board is a mirror reflection of who your fan base is. Have you ever heard your fans talk about other teams? Have you ever heard the experiences and stories of visiting fans and bands?
Try to have a conversation on your message board....you'll be rolling along with some good football guys, and then the tools come out....at least on our board, we recognize the tools and come down on them...on your board, not so much..it turns into a lynch mob....which by the way, they should have formed and gone after Sandusky....
On a side note, you guys would get a kick out of their topic BIGvsACC....it's pretty funny....on page 8, one dude says that PSU should use its' "clout" to demand the BIG pay them their bowl splits while ineligible....or they will walk....
My thinking....What clout??? That is gone...... Go ahead and walk... not a lot of conferences lining up to scoop them up....maybe the Big East...as PSU would be by far the largest school in that conference....
Oh, and the glitch that had PSU gear unavailable on the NCAA website for a few hours was part of the conspiracy...and I'm sure it would still be unavailable if not for one of their posters writing a letter/email to the NCAA.....
These guys are cracking me up.....
Now they have a guy wanting to write to their recruiting coach about a recruit he knows of in central PA. More embarrassing to write the letter or for thinking your team doesn't know about a guy in your own backyard?
I think a lot of these guys believe that they can just call the coach and tell him what they think and he'll be like "WOW..WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!"
It's a "culture" thing......haha..
Wow.....this is an actual post from a dude on PSU board talking about Iowa's current issues .....They STILL don't think they did anything wrong, and never see anyone show any feeling/remorse toward the victims of JS>..This was from the thread "Iowa has cultural problems...
"This is a non-issue.
What happened to us was purely a product of the media. We were a juicy story, and ESPN took it and blew it up. We had a legend coach at a huge institution ignoring a former coach who was raping children (or at least, so you all don't assault me, that was the perception). This is boring. Will amount to nothing.
The Big Ten and NCAA are political institutions. If there was any doubt before, what they did to us was final evidence. The politics of this issue will be completely different due to a total lack of media response"

Good post my friend, +1
Penn State was on the decline before this whole thing happened. Now with Paterno gone nobody cares. They are not relevant. They are a MAC team with a big and soon to be empty stadium. Want to leave? Leave. Go join the conference USA. They could use more teams. Their football team is going to suck for the next decade. Their basketball team? LOL
Good riddance I say. We should add someone more competitive to the conference to replace them like Ohio University.
LOL @ PSU and their stupid ignorant dipshit fan base of morons
In the morning after I have my second cup of coffee, I usually have to go take a gigantic Paterno.
