I am thrilled that Learner sold the team.
I am very good with the choice of Chud for the coach and look forward to see who he brings in as coordinators. He is one who wanted to be the coach and hates the Steelers as much as I do so I can not call him a bad coach for at least three years.
I will tip a few tonight hoping that he does well.
i hate the steelers and am dying to be the browns head coach. doesnt make me qualified. just like he isnt qualified. a guy we have fired twice
Saying "a guy we fired twice" is a bit unfair in my opinion. It's near impossible for any coach to keep their job with the Browns considering we blow it up every 2 years.
Chud was the best OC we've had since coming back.
I think people will be pleasantly surprised with Rob, look what Tressel did for the Buckeye's. A lot of his success had to do with his passion for Ohio State. I believe Rob has that same type of passion for the Browns. I'm not gonna make any predictions but I have a feeling that Chud will be a damn good HC for the Browns.
Brady Hoke licked the pizza boy's taint to get the scUM job.
I'll give Chudzinski the benefit of the doubt. The guy was TE coach under Butch's last year (2004), which, granted, was not pretty, but we lost Winslow in like the 2nd game with a broken leg. Steve Heiden was OK, but not as much to work with there. When Butch left it is expected the assistants will generally go too.
Then he comes back in 2007 at OC and we have the best offense we've had in a long time. In 2008, we had a rash of QB injuries, and that year didn't go well. But when you are starting Dorsey and Gradkowski at the end of the year that says it all. Crennel gets fired at the end of the year and his troops (including Chud) go looking for other jobs.
When he was OC I thought he ran an aggressive offense that stretched the field. He has had good jobs since leaving the Browns, and got a GREAT rookie year out of Cam Newton before they fell back a bit this year.
I'm not sure if he can be a good HC or not, but his track record makes me think he has a chance, especially with good assistants.
i remember several people wanted chud to be named coach awhile back after crennel was let go.
i live in pgh and they are talking about how haslam is doing the same thing the steelers do. instead of recycling these HCs they give someone their first chance. all of the steelers coaches were coordinators elsehwere and not HCs. We'll see....we're overdue to say the least.
What exactly are you saying "he gets?" Is that he gets fired in two years? Does he get mocked his final one and a half years? It amazes me when people use that worn out term, "he gets it."
Are you a Browns fan ? If you are than I shouldn't have to explain it to you.
Apparently someone pissed in your Wheaties and you just want to take it out on someone else...... get bent mofo !
Looks like Norv Turner is coming in as OC, not sure if I like this one or not. Apparently Chudzinski wants the DC from San Diego as well, that means we are switching to the 3-4. Not a definite yet as he's still under contract with the Chargers.
I don't follow the NFL much and at first I thought who? Another miserable fail. But after thinking about it I guess they had to take whoever would accept. I mean its Cleveland. He's the coach and everybody will hate him. Because everybody hates the team. Even the fans hate the team. Isn't the owner a Steelers fan? Hell he even hates them. One full year of misery. Getting stuff thrown at you from the stands, at home. Getting booed outta restaurants. People throwing loaves of bread at you at the grocery store. He might get a little sympathy. Maybe the most sympathetic fan in the world sees him in the dairy aisle, and thinks "ya know? This guy came here so he must not be too smart, possibly mental issues. So I'm not gonna bash his skull with this glass jar of orange juice. I'll just drop him with an impotence laden, steel toed boot to the bolt bin.". Then when he's hunched over gasping for air, grab a can of ready whip and write on his back "welcome to Cleveland Coach". That sounds bout right. Might be a tough guy. I sure hope so for his sake.
I know right? I really lost all interest in the NFL a long time ago. To the point that I have a hard time even thinking about it. But thank someone for the DV. Prick! Pissed off Brown!
im a browns fan and i dont understand this whole "get it" thing. there's nothing to get in the coaching world. win games. that's it. you dont really have to "understand the fans" or "get it." you win or you lose. if you lose you get fired. if you win you get rings. pretty simple
