I know, weird right? And it's spelled "Bant"
Either way, I don't care who hangs out here. We hand out equal opportunity thrashings...
come dude, this love affair is a little too strange.. and you followed him all the way here ? man are you waiting for him to give you a ring..
Too logical, too obvious, too simple, therefore unacceptable to this board...
I'm predicting another undefeated season. chasing that crystal
coach, as long as you spell correctly I don't think you can get banned here. That and complaining about Tressel all the time appear to be the only things that will get you banned on our site. All else goes
I don't think even complaining about Tressel all the time will get you banned. He's got his fair share of detractors here. Fickell, too.
But calling us cheaters and "O $anction U" might result in an expulsion, though.
I think the OP needs to know in advance that the fur could be flying fast, high and furious around here once the NCAA metes out the U's punishment. With Miami having self-imposed the way Smith did in the hope of pre-dodging the bullet, if the penalties aren't deemed severe enough based on what we got, there will be some unhappy campers on Bucknuts and the OP needs to be forewarned about defending the U's integrity or whining about penalties to a bunch of Buckeye fans who won't want to hear it.
BTW and FWIW, people need to remember that the bowl ban and loss of scholarships was because our compliance department failed to monitor Bobby DiGeronimo, who looks like a saint compared to what Nevin Shapiro was doing at the U.
Just as long as you're not chasing sugarcrystal...
Had to give you a +1 for today's best example of a working definition of irony.
just be respectful and remember this is a pro buckeye board with many wearing homer glasses. Talk trash about the buckeyes and its an easy exit.
we most likely won't play a single team on our schedule in the top 15, and while it's tough to go undefeated we should move through the schedule pretty easy on paper. But teams like Purdue and Wisconsin always give us a tough battle, so it wont be easy.
Shti, I BACKED Tressel for what he did! I posted this earlier on this board, but Miami's punishment doesn't matter to me one way or the other. If they get a 10 year bowl ban, so be it. I can't control that. If they get off scot free, great. I can't control that either... The toughest thing for the NCAA and ALL of it's integrity (insert biggest sarcasm sign on planet earth here) is to believe EVERYTHING that Shapiro (a convicted felon and compulsive liar) has handed over to Yahoo (another viable source) and to what punishment to hand out. I think that's the NCAA's biggest hurdles, they have to believe a felon from talking to a website on something that happened in south florida. Is miami at fault? Sure they are and so is Bama, Clemson, Texas, USC, Washington, Oklahoma.....
btw, I thought Fickell was a little "challenged" lets call it and I would never say you're cheaters, O Sanctions U or anything else. EVERYBODY cheats in sports. It is what it is. It's called being competitive and the great ones (cough Saban cough) know how to do it better than anybody else.... I don't fault Bama or say they're cheaters, hey, they're the champs and they deserve it!
Just so long as you understand two things.
1. Ohio State won the national title in 02.
2. The pass interference call was legit.
And if you disagree, it would be best if you don't ever discuss it here because we would probably disagree and would NEVER come around to your opinion.
"The only thing That Team Up North will be tasting this year is the salty tears of defeat" - UFM
I see you guys play at Cal next year. Not worried about that one?
You did win it in 02 no doubt. That call was BS. Do I care? no. You know why? Sean taylor should've taken a knee and Shannon shouldn't have rushed 4 on 4th and a miracle with Krenzel at QB while playing 20 yards off the ball. Face it, Miami was 10x more talented in that game, but Tressel outcoached Coker (not really hard since he makes Fickell look like Woody Hayes) and that's the bottom line and you guys deserved the win. I make ZERO excuses for Miami, but that call was pretty bad. However, no one call determines the outcome of a game and it was Miami's lack of preparation and overconfidence that did them in, not the call by the ref.... Tressel did a great job to keep them in it and give his team confidence for the W.
That's 11 years ago now, if Miami fans haven't dropped that, well they're just frustrated, bitter and most of all, jealous.
STAY IN THE END ZONE, TAYLOR!!!!

BRING IT COACH! You are one half of the best game I have ever seen in my entire life. Also a fan of the players you guys put in the league. I just wish Winslow did not live his life off the field like he did on. I think he would have been the best TE to every suit up. However, I loved every second of him in a Browns uni.

look up at me and you see a god;
look straight at me and you see yourself”

Man that kid blew it... He had a chance to be the second best tight end in Browns history!! (nobody in my eyes will ever top Ozzie)
I worry about every game, football is such a game of momentum and breaks but Cal should not even be a close game. Of course I thought that in 2012 too.
What about at Northwestern one week after a very physical game against Wisconsin? That to me can be your slip up with the Cal game. Everything else I think you guys can handle pretty easily.. well that and dare I say your final game against those guys in yellow???
Nah... Baby shit yellow!
Every team can slip, and to be honest the progress of Braxton Miller is the key to this answer. JR wide receivers, senior running back, veteran line, if Braxton develops over the summer like he did last year this offense will be explosive. The defense will be young but talented, if the pieces and talent show up and get better over the summer this will be a legit top 5 team that will steam roll through the regular season, but after saying that two straight years with Terrelle Pryor you'd think I would know better than to make such bold statements.
But with my buckeye goggles on of course, there is no one on the 2013 schedule that a buckeye fan is circling as the scary game of the season.

I thought that's all you had was jersey fans since you can't get anyone to come yo your games
That was ironic! lol
They show up only for the bigs... any other game is a no show... well that and we have to be relevant! I remember going down to the OB for the Big East championship against Va Tech and there were 45,000 in an 80,000 seat stadium. Nobody came because we had no shot to win the whole ball of wax. Miami fans are just that way....
I live in jersey. In 2005, I had season tickets and missed 1 game the entire year home or away. I walk into the stands, no jersey, no face paint... I just mostly at the home fans that I would see once every three games!!! WTF have you been doing that you LIVE down here and can't get to the game???? I worked a Sunday bartending shift and NEVER missed one Sunday while catching a 5 or 6 am flight out of Miami after partying on south beach and not sleeping. I had to work a double, too!!
Now I'm married with a baby and a real job. Day will come my friend when I have season tix again and it doesn't matter if I live in Germany, I'm there baby!!!
I think Miller needs to run more. I think he doesn't want to be labeled and "prove" to people he can chuck it. Well, we all know you can throw it, but get more yards with your legs! I'm curious to see how Urban goes this year with him. People forget Urban is more conservative than people think. He has no problem pounding the rock and resting his laurels on a stout defense (something that you guys usual have year in and year out).
College football is crazy though and you never know who can sneak up on ya'... Next year starts the playoff though, correct?
