Definitely encouraging. Would be awesome if he stays, although I would imagine much will depend on the NFL projection report: http://ohiostate.247sports.com/Board/120/Hyde-Looks-Toward-Big-Year-In-2013-14483152/1
So fucking what. What else is there to talk about until spring practice starts beside this shit? This is called a message board.
Some folks just want to be jerks.
Come briguy stop being a bitch you got your panties in bunch.
And I don't give a shit about downvotes I think it's gay which further proves my point about you being a bitch and you said what else is there to talk about well besides speculating about what maybe in a boarding house I'm sure you can do better than taking a wild guess and running with it or not.
I think this is one of the keys to an extremely successful 2013 season and championship run. Having Hyde to lean on, the development of the other backs (Dunn, Ball, Hall) and maturation of Brax, man............things are looking extremely well!!
Very glad to see this. I just hope it pans out and results in Hyde wearing S&G in 2013!!!

East Coast Player Known for Knocking Fools Out One At A Time!
Absolutely! You know opposing defenses just dread having to tackle this guy when he's got a full head of steam.
Hey, Nasty, that pic of Diggs in S&G--do you know if it's still on his Twitter account?
calm down big guy. calm down. all my point was if you opened this thread you'd think he had declared for the draft. seems like it was never close
This was the opening line of the thread: "Reading the BH thread today it sounds like Hyde is considering going pro"
Looking at that sentence, along with the fact that the thread is titled as a question, I have not the slightest clue how you could come to that kind of a conclusion unless you're just looking to start shit with people.
* Multiple comments in the BH thread indicate Hyde is interested in finding out his projection and may go pro depending on the result. Is this accurate or not? Who knows, the BH is just rumors the staff hears about from inside sources at the WHAC, players, coaches, etc.
* I started a thread on this topic for discussion, because that's kind of what message boards are for.
* If you, or anyone else don't like that, don't post in the thread. It really is that simple.
I'm not sure. I am not on twitter (by design), so I haven't been to his site.
I'd be very surprised if it were.
If you want it, just snatch the jpg and save it to your hard drive.
Here's the three that I have in my collection. I was really hoping this
dude went to C-Bus to play ball.
As I practice regularly, if I don't like the topic, I don't open or post in the thread.
It's a pretty simple concept.
"man we got some fuckin weirdos on this site." - Davebucknut 9/5/13 post of the year
First of all, I dont down vote either, go back to the upvote downvote thread and see what I have to say about that. I believe I was the first one to say downvoting was gay.
Secondly, fill me in on my wild guess that I ran with.
In my opinion, Hyde will have a more productive career at the next level than Wells. Wells is too fragile, prone to injury, and like a finely tuned sports car. Hyde on the otherhand is like an all wheel drive pick up truck with serious horse power and towing capacity. If he opts to go pro and lasts until the 7th round, it would be very surprising.
Keep in mind Hyde did not come here as an 18-yr old freshman, so he is a little older and closer to his athletic peak where the NFL likes to run the hell out of these guys. He is a big, durable back who holds onto the ball. His 40 time is fast and he is a great blocker and will pick up the blitz as well as the tough yards. We didn't throw to him enough, but the man can catch.
Unless he really likes college, it would be in his interest to go pro. That style of play is better suited to his skill set and it is probably not smart for him to risk injury. There is a lot of weight and torque on his knees and ankles.
Great points Jag.
the posts throughout the thread.
while i agree wells is as fragile as it comes, hyde isnt exactly a guy who's never been injured. he missed 2.5 games this season in his first year as the main running back.
I just went back to the first page and read through the comments, which primarily consisted of folks
* discussing the chances of him leaving
* wishing him luck *if* he chooses to go early
* the pros / cons of leaving early *if* he chose to do so
* expressing how happy they would be if he stays
I still have no idea how you arrived at the conclusion you previously stated, so I digress.

Not sure on this one because in the NFL running backs are dropping in the draft based on the 3-4 wide receivers that the NFL uses. I would be suprised if he leaves.
Hope you're right. I love the speedy smaller backs as well, but it's hard to beat a 235lb downhill runner coming right at you, especially when that power back's vision has come so far.
your first post was talking about him considering leaving. no where is there any real facts that he ever considered leaving. entering the paperwork doesnt mean you're considering going to the nfl, guys do that to find out the areas they need to work on, therefore this thread is misleading. and now im letting this thread go because there's no point to argue over something that really means nothing
There will never be FACTS in a BH discussion as I already stated. This thread isn't misleading at all. It's a discussion on information reported by Bucknuts, just as the BH pages state right up front.
I know you're focusing most of your mental capacity on insults that most 5th graders think are lame... But please, for next time, could you please use some punctuation to enumerate where each useless thought begins and ends? My eyes just now stopped bleeding...
The only facts are that he filed the NFL evaluation paperwork. Period. Everything else is conjecture. Interpreting Carlos' mental state is speculative. Your own speculation that states Carlos is NOT considering leaving is just as much of an assumption as anyone else's. The point of a message board is to speculate based on facts (usually small and incomplete details). I don't really understand the hostility towards this thread topic given that it pretty much meets every definitional aspect of message board fodder that gets posted in this and thousands of other boards every day.
There are plenty of logical reasons to "speculate" that Carlos may consider an early jump to the NFL, the most basic of which is that he filed the paperwork in the first place. The very fact that he filed paperwork logically implies that he must, at least on some level, be considering leaving early. Finding areas of weakness to work on may be an ancillary reason to file paperwork, but the reason the program exists is to find out where you could be taken, and for players to use that information to make a choice to stay or go. The fact he filed the paperwork implies that he has a decision to make.

Stay or go either way Hyde is in a nice position. I know staying runs the risk of injury but there's no guarantees in the pros and one thing we can all agree on is OSU has as good a chance as anyone to win it all next year. Leave for the bling or stay for the ring.
I can't wait for August to roll around.
If he feels he is ready he should go regardless, running backs are too easily injuried. Succuss in the NFL is about athletic ability, commitment, football smarts and staying healthy. If what you did on a college football field mattered even a little every Heisman Trophy winner would be an all pro. Antonio Gates never played a down of college football and he is not the first nor will he be the last guy to make an impact in the league with little or nothing to show for a college career. If CH stays he will be a great addition to next years team, but if he leaves the world won't end. Best of luck to him in whatever he chooses.
