I would be blown away to see a kid commit on national TV to a team and then sign a letter to someone else. it could happen but I for one would be shocked to see Elliot chose another team.
I think taj Boyd did but I could be wrong.
you & i must have seen different versions of the same games because the games that I was able to see left me thinking that Hall is a strong RB. His ability to run between the tackles for big gains as well as his bursts around end plus he has great hands. He does a pretty good job on Kick return too...there were a lot of games where he was the only thing working in the offense. An "average" back is being modest IMO...but...i still dont see how him being allowed to come back ONE more year influences or effects an incoming recruits decision. Great players aren't going to be concerned with competition. Look at Bama's roster & their 13' commits...they are stacked with 4/5* players at each position - either Saban has some magical powers that alter a kids ability to see/understand or the kids aren't scared to compete against other great kids everyday in practice. what a kid wants to know is if they will have a chance to play or if they will be resigned to watch from the sidelines simply because they are a freshman. For example... my H.S. coach refused to play frosh/soph's & Jr's were only used if there wasnt a senior available...he was way old school & an extreme case but there are coaches who have a policy about not playing freshman. There are different points of view but I think that both Saban & Meyer have demonstrated they will play the best kids regardless of experience. Elliott's film is more then impressive - the kid has top tier talent & he will make an impact in our offense - I just hope he wants to win championships and brings his skills to c-bus
Yea, he's one of my fav also. Thanks for the info. I still think he flips, hope I am wrong though.

What it man! Someone gave me a D/V for thinking basically the same thing about Hall!! LOL! Happy Friday!
Boom: Didn't that kid named Green switch to Illinois because JT told him outright he would be a DB and Zooker told him he'd play RB there? It may have been a day before NLOI day but I'm not sure.
You forgot about Warren Ball, who also got hurt last year.
Athough overlooked somewhat, there were plenty of reports marveling at his talents in practice.
OL is becoming a white whale of sorts....once place we don't have a lot of depth, and the only position we can't seem to get a commit on.
"Any board that would ban 3yds is worthless"
Jordan Hall deserves to be back and we need him back.
He'll provide one thing we didn't have last year, in catches out of the backfield. He is much more elusive in open space, and fits pretty well into Urban's offense in the slot also.
As already mentioned a KR/PR too.
i know boyd went down to wire, don't recall if he was ever actually committed to us.
I tell you what though...
If this kid is the stud he's been in high school and carries that over to the next level...
#34 may not be getting as many carries as we might think!
This kid while entirely different than Beanie Wells and Maurice Clarett.....has IT. He could be tOSU's next freshman phenom that we haven't had since Beanie inked with us back in 2006!
This kid's film is amazing.....he runs almost totally upright. He has great hip movement and balance. He's strong....he can take tacklers on but he is quick enough to make people miss too.....
...and for his size....he's pretty damn fast. 6'0" 200lbs and runs a 4.4 forty.
If for some reason we did lose him.....that will sting.
Like I said....if he carries it over to college...and I say if cause you just never know...but if he does.....he will be our equivalent of a T.J. Yeldon, Maurice Clarett or Beanie Wells.....he could be that good.
Yeah but I don't think this kid would flip on national signing day.
I've never seen that done before. Ever. He would have opened up his recruitment if he were going to change his commitment. He has not done that. He is a good, respectful kid and I don't see him doing something like that to this coaching staff who have invested a great deal of time and effort to render his services.
He's a Buckeye.
hall has nothing to do with eze. it was urban's recruiting of dontre wilson which has bothered him since urban told him he'd be the only rb. him and wilson wouldnt even play the same position but im not sure he's buying it. it is what it is. we'll find out next week. either way im going to guess ohio stadium will still be standing and we'll still have a top 3 team next season
Boyd was never committed to tOSU. He was interested but he never gave a verbal. If he did verbal he pulled that verbal before he inked.
he's a great kid. i dont blame any of these kids for doing what they want. it's their lives and decision. a big deicison. he comes from a good family, he'll do what's best for him. hope it's the buckeyes but either way he'll be fine and we'll be perfectly fine
I agree with the other poster.
Hall is a good all purpose back. But I have never seen him hit the holes hard. He is more of a east/west type of runner and wants to make tacklers miss.
Hall is great out of the backfield and does possess good hands. He had a brilliant return once.....
Hall will not take hand offs this year. I would be very surprised if he did. He'll be a slot receiver or take the ball on sweeps or reverses....
But he's been off an entire season, Hyde has clearly taken over as the man....Rod Smith is not far behind Hyde if he can keep the ball protected...and Dunn and Ball both have had a full season to take things in.
Hall should absolutely not be put in at RB at this point. That time has passed for him. He was good when we needed him. But we have much better options now.
Here is another thing to consider.....
If Meyer may use Wilson as an APB, then someone is leaving that we dont know about.
I wish there was as much fuss over oline players as this one.
Meh. I think this is much ado about nothing. Elliott will sign with OSU, Wilson elsewhere, order restored.
seriously. as i said earlier, OL is our white whale...
I just wish it were February 6th---I'm exhausted!!!!
when you bring in 5(now 4 due to a transfer) last year and another 3 this year what's there to fuss about? add in we'll be taking 4-5 next year im not sure what the fuss should be about especially when you're returning 4 starters, and essentially all their back ups. oh and we have a real o line coahc
Insert Kenny "Smooth Jazz" Guiton.
Why does it have to be white?
