Ya hooked me on this one. Love the movies. I could pick one for each year, but I'll start with...
The Dirty Dozen
War based, great cast, funny, lots of action and suspense and Jim Brown!
Edit to add that I see a lot of my favorites already listed.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
The Longest Day
Vacation - Walleyworld

And yes to all the Eastwood spaghetti westerns.
Unforgiven. Watch it every time it is on. Favorite part is when he shoots the bartender for "decorating" his saloon with his friend.
A Bronx Tale
Cool Hand Luke
The Boondock Saints
The Quiet Man
Silver Lining Playbook
The Color of Money
The Great Escape
The Cincinnati Kid
Letters from Iwo Jima
K-19 The Widowmaker
Hell in the Pacific
+1 with No Country for Old Men...great flick ! MANY other great flicks - Alien, Aliens, Terminator, Terminator 2, Schindler's List, Silence of the Lambs, The Dark Knight, Seven, Jurassic Park, etc...
Unbreakable has to be one of the most underrated movies...
If I had to pick ONE...it would be Gladiator...

Interesting to see what other's find to be 'great'.
1. Pulp Fiction
2. True Romance
3. The Godfather
4. Full Metal Jacket (best war movie by far)
5. Pefume, the story of a murderer
who names a family movie "Big Black Threesome"?!
I am a Buckeye...proof there is a God in Heaven who loves me.
War: Full metal jacket. Know every line.
Horror: saw, just the original one. When that dead guy stood up in the end, I was floored.
" if they run they're Viet cong! If they don't, they're well trained Vietnam cong!"
Didn't see you had already called out full metal jacket. Nice.
Some that I didn't see mentioned
The sixth sense
American history x
A river runs through it
Meet joe black
The big lebowski
The blare witch project was innovative and fooled a lot of people.
I wonder how many movies have been made in the history of movies. It's hard to think of the best movies of all time without overlooking about 10,000 of them.
Friday was a good comedy also
Any Kubrick movie.
For some reason I can recite the entire script of Urban Cowboy.
Interesting that you're the only poster to comment on others opinions.
