I got up this morning wanting to know if Dontre had committed, first thing I did (big mistake) was turned on ESPN. I forget the two idiots that were announcing sports center but the first thing I hear they are talking about NLOI day. The one announcer looks at the other and says "don't you mean SEC signing day?" I know it is their brand but damn, the blatant pushing of it gets old under the ruse of an impartial sports channel. Needless to say the TV was on for less than a minute and I turned on the computer to get the news.
This kind of stuff is what's going to make it even sweeter when someone knocks off an SEC team in the National Title game.
And until someone does, the rest of us have no choice but to grin and bear it.
Not trying too be a d**** but why would expect to get that info from espn even though Its been on their bottom line as breaking news but anyway I guess what I'm asking is why not just log on to bucknuts where you know it'll be?
That can't be right talbert -- the SEC's name for it is OVER-signing day. You gotta get your ears checked, dude. ;)
And yeah, this is why it's unwise to go to ESPiN for news. They're like a politicized news network -- they're going to prepare it with their agenda and then shove it down your throat. This is why I don't tune into them for anything other than games anymore.
Mark my words: It will be the Urban Renewed Ohio State Buckeyes!!!!
Because the TV turns on faster than the computer boots up
LMAO Hey just asking.
Anyone else wonder why the have like 7 teams in the preseason top 10 every year? Its media bias. Then some team beats a top 10 team and moves them up farther. Then all these teams play only top 10 teams, and we wonder why they get love. That is why. Preseason human bias controlled by the media giant.
I think what was meant is that most of the big time recruits who have not yet verbaled have most SEC teams being considered.

Had a similar experience just a minute ago, they were talking top recruiting classes, and they didn't bother with any other conferences. They just did top 5 SEC recruiting classes...wow. I know it's their brand. But, come on.
because they have won 19 straight champs
Only 2 teams are allowed to play in that game. When you start the season out by playing nothing but preseason teams that are ranked in the top 10, it helps. And that is media bias.
but they win each year and usually b y a lot of points .. so if you're a voter, wouldn't you think their teams are better ?
Believe it or not SEC only had 4 preseason top 10 this past year...
That will be a Tshirt I will proudly wear
Just so Urban doesn't run a hurry up offense against Nickie. You know how Nickie doesn't like it and thinks it should be banned.
unfortunately - you are correct sir

Just read Darron Lee's bio...his mom is Candice Lee, news reporter and weekend anchor for Columbus's local NBC affiliate
Edit: Crap...thought I was on the NSD thread.
Candice joined NBC4 in March 2007 after spending more than nine years
at WDEF-TV in Chattanooga, TN. Candice also spent seven years with the
U.S. Navy as a Navy journalist and public relations spec

What should be banned is Saban's competitive oversigning advantage. The media needs to cover this much more than they do.
I've been watching ESPNU's signing day coverage. You might as well just call it the SEC signing day.
I have seen the SEC and negative coverage of USC so far this morning. I realize most the big name players are being signed by SEC. However, other teams have good players signing. Texas, ND, OSU, Mich, Oklahoma, Stanford.
Texas is in bed with ESPN too. Why are they not getting any love today?
yea i agree. i also don't know why they don't have breaking news at the bottom of the screen when people commit (clark)
They just cut away to watch a NLI be carried down a hallway. STUPID
This just in....We finally got some air time.
How is ESPN so horrible at this after doing this for several years now?
They just cut over to listen to Adams after he had already announced and had the hat on.
