I didn't know Jordan Hall wore #2 all throughout High School.. So apparently his # change isn't a homage to TP...
Guess my #2 Jersey won't go to waste this season...
Too logical, too obvious, too simple, therefore unacceptable to this board...
What did Rod Smith change his number to then? He wore 2 the last 2 years on the offense
Good to hear. I can pull that number 2 jersey out of mothballs.
I'm actually thinking not good. Smith wears two. End of story. Jordan should've been told we have a nice 39 or 26 he can wear, but that is how it is going to be. I'm not one of those who wants to keep punishing Pryor or others who got in trouble, but a kid on my team who wants to honor someone who began the problems that led to the downfall of this program is getting told ....yah, about that sixth year.....yeah...we're going in a different direction. Furthermore, I have reliable word that pretty much nobody on this roster besides Hall could actually stand Pryor. My source is a player and he pretty much said he was an asshole and the feeling was fairly unanimous. That is about all the inside info I have ever had.
How is Hall honoring Pryor? If Hall wants to wear #2, and Smith is fine with it, then so be it. I'm guessing Hall just wants to wear his number he wore in high school for his senior year. If Hyde stays for his senior season, maybe he'll switch back to #2.
Did Hyde honor Pryor these past two seasons for wearing #2? I doubt it.
MEMO TO FICKELL: DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!
The #7 always looks good on the field so hopefully this will be a nice change for Rod too. He seems to have all the physical tools but must not show it all time in practice. I know we're stacked at RB but would sure like to see Rod get 8-10 meaningful carries a game.
Rod is switching to 7? Interesting...
I guess I just assumed that Marshall would be #7 if it became eligble again.
This was in response to another poster saying he heard he wanted to honor Pryor. By the way, Hyde was never #2.
I met Pryor a few times and he was a cocky asshole. He used to go to a small market/carry out that I would frequent and he would always be talking to the guy that worked there about which papers were the best to roll blunts with. He always parked sideways taking up the only two handicap spots in the parking lot. He also made a contract with the cashier that stated that when he turned pro he would give him $10,000 dollars. I watched him sign it. Total idiot. "Everyone kills people".
hmmm internet rumors.. me like .. with all these cellphone camera's you couldn't at least get some evidence ?
ah okay, and I mixed up Hyde with Smith***
There are still Tressell people on the staff and we all know that Pryor and Hall were 2 of his favorites of all time. This is not the first person that said most of the players did not like Pryor. Pryor, his entorage of new cars and his tattoo people ruined opportunities of his younger team mates to compete for NC last year and now the darling Hall is taking a much superior backs number and probably carries. This is the land of entitlement and many were brought up to expect it.
I believe Smith to be the real #2 back unless Ball or Elliott changes that this season.
So the Tressel people still on the staff are the ones making all the major decisions.. Nice, I guess Urban & Luke switched places (cause Luke is the only one left) .
So Urban is not making his own decisions, he is just playing favorites. Thats why Jordan hall is getting all these favors.. Lol
