So if the school is going to "Assist Manti and his family" in an investigation into this, wouldn't this be an extra benefit not endorsed by the NCAA? attorney costs, investigation costs etc..???
Very good point, but never forget that they are ND and gawd is on their side!
I don't believe it would be as he has exhausted all elgibility. And to be honest he might not even be enrolled right now as he is most likely getting ready for the combine. Have to wonder though if his draft stock falls from all this.

If I were ND, I'd be backing away from Teo as fast as possible. I'd claim that we were under the impression that everything HE said was true. I'd claim that if he was involved, then we as a university were duped. We wish Teo and his family well and we have no other comments.
Well it boils down to Manti lied either way. IF he truly never met her in person then his original heart gripping story to ESPN that they met after a game at Stanford, and looked in each others eyes, yada yada. Was a lie. If he did meet her then his story now is a lie. So makes no diff to me, dude is lying.
I think maybe he plays for the "outsy" team and couldn't come out while at a Catholic school so the fabricated GF covered him for not dating or participating in the ND sexual assaults. Now he's done at ND so no need to keep the fake GF and have her die off to boost his PR for the Heisman.
That school has had plenty of bad press before this 'feel good story of the year' feel in their laps. They likely tripped over themselves trying to get this in the news. Fact check or not, someone is telling lies.
So what you're saying is my Bengals have q chance.........yeah baby.....lol.
This is Notre Dame, they do not belong to a conference and when it comes to breaking rules they do not belong to the NCAA either?
Being that Manti was a senior and no longer part of the team, it shouldn't matter.
Investigation was finished Jan 4th. Before the NCG. So Manti was still on team.
Yes they do! The Browns just hired Norv Turner haha!!
As much as I hate ND (more than Michigan), no violation. They're not THAT dumb.
Kind of a shame....Majerus breaks NCAA rules by buying himself and a player a cheeseburger while at airport waiting to send the kid home after his dad dies, but Notre Dame can hire an investigator to look into the private life of one of their players to save him embarrassment... Seems about right.
