one of the rare times you will find iowa and me in complete agreement
You're right although I did agree with your idea of merging the basketball board into Around the Shoe.
But even a broken clock is right twice a day.
+1 Iowa, well said
How firm thy friendship O-HI-O
....or the West Coast audience that used to live in Cleveland or the "Nasty Nati", but now lives in Arizona, LA or San Diego.
Watching that game at 9AM doesn't resonate with anyone West of the Rockies including 5 star recruits.
Put that game on at 4 or 5PM PST then suddenly I can see myself or my kid playing in scarlet and grey, as well as wanting to be a part of THE GREATEST rivalry in Sports. Moving that start time means a whole lot and I can't even begin to imagine why this would be a sticking point or cause for concern?
Get more eyes on the conference and get more interest (e.g. TV sets) nationally is the name of the game.
Total win-win as Iowa stated.

My dad graduated in 1973 from the Ohio State University, I have been a Buckeye since I was born. I am graduating in May and you can bet you're ass I'll be a Buckeye for life and so will my sons(hopefully I have sons). I don't care if alumni aren't able to cheer as loud, long, and hard as the students.. but unless you're disabled please stand up and cheer during third downs and big situations. I'm not saying that all old people are lazy as fans but there are some. And I define old as 60+. I see a lot of 30 somethings and 40 somethings getting just as wild as the students.. which isn't necessarily the level I want everyone to be at.. but at least put forth some effort. I know The Shoe is one of the loudest and most intimidating places to play but it's not the most intimidating.. and it should be damn near it. Urban doesn't settle for almost the best when he's doing his job. why shouldn't all of the fans do the same? And yes I agree that a lot of students leave a lot to be desired as well.
Amen, IowaBuckeye...Amen..old folks? When the new prices come out, who do folks think will pay for the inhanced ticket prices? acne faced, 20 year olds who are searching the fountains for coins to "make it thru the week? " One other thing...I have lived in Columbus for 74 years...mid to late November can be a "bummer" for getting cold and windy...and they are talking about Buckeye Exposure......the only "exposure" most Buckeyes will get will be their cold fanny being stuck to a plastic bench as they are praying for the 4th quarter to end......why ruin a good thing?
Jane you ignorant slut.
Well I was gonna chime in my opinion here but I figured I better ask first...WTF?
i can't wait to see rutgers and maryland play each other in a saturday prime time game. that'll be the day hell froze over, eh, indydawg?

Geez...Lemme know when it happens, I'll schedule my colonoscopy that day.

thanks! it's my kids' favorite, too. except that whenever i read it to them, instead of dog, i say bux.
+1. May I also add:
6) Maybe someday if you are lucky enough to grow old 30? 40? 50? 60+ ? you can be the fortunate one to get barfed on and food spilled all over you, maybe then and only then you will begin to see the light.
