Had a thought this morning that the poor officiating we have seen the last several weeks may be encouraged by the BIG in hopes that we lose a few games since we are ineligible for a bowl game. Essentially make the rest of the BIG look a little better (or worse).
Not really the case but had a chuckle when I thought about some of the awful calls we have seen over the last few weeks and seems like a reasonable assumption if I want to think like a homer for a little while.
The worst of the bunch was the "supposed" block in the back on Norwell. Just a horrible call!!!!
officiating doesnt give up 49 point to indiana and officiating wasnt the reason why we made a miracle come back.
Very true! Touché!
I agree with you, it's on the Bucks to win the game not the officiating to lose it. I was just having some fun with the conspiracy of the BIG idea.
.....nope, not 49. Officiating was only responsible for about 22 points and officiating was one of the contributing factors to why we had to make a miracle comeback. I dont think anyone is blaming officiating for the Buckeyes lackluster performance against lesser teams, but it certainly has been more than slightly lopsided
i just dont agree with that. ill say the safety against purdue was a bad call, but otherwise what did they do to nearly cost us that game? according to purdue people they helped us on the final drive. indiana, how did they give them 22 points? we give up on an onside kick, and gave indiana 30 yards in penalties on one play. sorry dont buy it.
im not saying you are wrong. just throwing in my two cents. kinda one of those glass half full, or half empty deals. we can discuss this topic to death and still not be on the same page. its all good though. we are still on the same team
true true. i just have never been in the mindset of a ref wins or costs you a game unless it is so epicly bad(green bay seattle).
Seattle / GB is worst ever...usually in any game there is equality in either calls or bad mistakes which sometimes equate them out...As an example..Hard to blame a missed pass interference when your o-line holds or gets Brewster-itis..
