Sorry.......just got on my soap box. Problem is that the whole reason people were on the anti-vaccine kick was a hoax. Folks believed it was causing autism. That British doctor who falsified research is in prison now.
No worries. Thanks for the info.
Nyquil, 4 hours of watching GOLF, 4 hours of Soap operas( Young and the Restless) , and to finally knock the crap out of your sysetm---watch two games of Michigan VS Indiana or Minnesota..........
I am knocking on wood. My wife caught the flu in Ohio over the holidays, so bad that after a 10-hour drive back to Iowa in which she slept the whole way, she had to be hospitalized for three days. I spent those 10 hours with her. Our car was a germ incubator and so far have come out clean.
#1 key: stay hydrated.
Good Luck Indy, I had same experience as others on board got a shot, worse winter sick wise that I can recall. That was 5 or 6 yrs. ago never again that was my 1st & last shot. My wife gets one every year & she's hit or miss as far as getting sick, last year was rough one for her. This year we are both doing great so far, but she just came home from watching grandchildren for a week while our daughter & son in law were in Vegas. 2 of the 5 grandkids was sick so we'll see how it goes.
Those Who Stay Will Be Championshipless
My wife's a nurse. They're hydrating patients and giving Tamiflu. FYI...ThIs strain is not covered by this years flu shot. Also, whiskey dehydrates. Be careful guys.
colloidal silver can turn you permanently blue if you take way too much of it...i have it, but use it sparingly...echinacea is also good for boosting the immune system. i take it during the flu season.
Hopefully my Buckeye Brothers/Sisters already know alcohol dehydrates. A shot now and then is nice when you're feeling crappy, but please keep hydrated. I Aways have a glass of water along side my drinks at home or away (bar). I can't get another drink until the water is gone. You won't suffer the next morning and will still get a decent buzz (if that's your goal).
Dehydration has a dangerous effect, especially on children. They lose a lot of body fluids through throwing up or diarrhea). Please keep them hydrated.

It can be if its over used, every day over a long period. I like echinacea but can be harmful to children with high temperatures
I like you GA but strongly disagree about vaccinations? Tell us why its necessary to use mercury in vaccines? Why is there an assistance fund for those who have encountered problems, mainly autism?
Lastly ask the Japanese how they feel about Tamiflu

Been sick off and on the past 5 weeks. It started with the flu, felt better after 4 days for a few, got sick again with an ear infection, got antibiotic, started to feel better for a few days, got sick again with flu-like symptoms and a persistent sore throat and ear ache developed had it for a week before I went back to doctor. During this entire episode I had not stopped coughing, in fact the cough was getting worse. Doc determined I had Acute Bronchitis, which can develop after an infection has been present for a while. Gave me a super charged anti-biotic. Feel much better, but my cough has stuck with me, and it is violent, haven't found anything that stops it yet. Yesterday a rib went out from my coughing and now I have to scream out in pain every time I cough.
During this time I tried everything I could think of. Unfortunately, nothing worked for me. The Oil of Oregano suggestion is a good idea. I wish I would have remembered that I got some. There is evidence that it works great against infections.
I honestly don't know the reason for the use of mercury. I thought it was a preservative from what I read once, but am not a chemist. All I know is that vaccines have wiped diseases out of the modern world. I appreciate your concerns, though. I took tamiflu once and it made me feel nauseated. Like I said, for the flu, I treat symptoms. For small pox, I'd rather keep my child alive. Just saying....
Sounds like what I had 4 or 5 years ago. Got sick, started to feel better, then got a sore throat that kept me awake for 4 strait days. Went on a couple different antibiotics for a coule weeks before a specialist put me on one of the strongest. After another week of testing told me I had Epsteen Barr Virus. Fucking worst 6 weeks of my life. Now every sore throat I get they treat it like a serious one.
Good points GA. I am not a fanatical person fighting vaccines. I just don't respect the CDC and the reasoning with some of the crap they pull. You are right, they claim mercury to be a preservative and also say its safe.
Let me get this straight, its safe to ingest mercury? I feel there is a lot of information with the pharmaceutical industry
Laying flat kicks your ass with post-nasal drip...
Also, no flu shot since I left the Army...no choice then, and always got sick. I don't get the flu....on occasion a sinus infection but no flu.
Good luck pal...NyQuil helps to sleep at night...
