I'm coming out to the Nebraska game this year, what's the best way to get tickets? Stubhub? Another site maybe? How about the time of year, do prices vary as the year goes on? Any help is appreciated.
There are several ways but NONE are going to be cheap unless you get extremely lucky.
You can pick you seat on stub hub (but expensive), you can try the university but chances are slim, or you can take your chances with a scalper at the game. Personally I would try the scalper if you are patient and wait as close to game time as possible you could get lucky.
Thanks maci, but I'm flying from CT with my nephew and wife and want to make sure we'll have seats, so the scalping thing isn't going to work. Right now on StubHub it's looking like $300 for A deck seats. Not thrilled about droppiing a grand on a few tickets but it is what it is.
Bu dem at de gam plenti off tickex wil b avalabel
They will probably get more reasonable the week of the game. I've gone to all the night games and several Michigan games in good seats for $100-150 closer to the game. Fortunately, The 2006 Ohio State/Michigan game we bought before they played Texas lol.
I'd jump on those 300 dollar A deck tickets right now. They will be a lot more expensive by August, September, guaranteed. I sold a Miami ticket in 6B for 300 dollars a couple years ago.
I got a ticket broker I been dealing with for years he has great deals way cheaper than stub hub.you can pm me and i will give you the deatails!!!go bucks
As it gets closer to gameday the cost will only go up. If you can snatch them for $300 or less, I'd get them.
I have always bought mine on ebay through sellers with great feedback. Given that you're flying long-distance, though, you might not want to use ebay. I have heard Stubhub is very good as far as everything being solid and guaranteed -- I've just never bought from them before because they're so ridiculously overpriced.
For a primetime matchup like Nebraska Vs. Ohio State, you're going to pay BIG bucks for anywhere in A-Deck.
Ummm...my bad, they're close to $500. Looking at the wrong deck
Last year sat in the last row in B deck...sucked...couldn't see didly.
How are C deck seats for a game? Last time I was in C deck I was a student (a billion years ago) and "influenced" and can't remember much.

The view from C deck isn't bad, but the hike up the stairs is brutal.
Another thing to consider here, Indy, is that the alumni ticket lottery registration doesn't even BEGIN until May 1. Source: http://www.ohiostatealumni.org/resources/member-benefits/Pages/Footballticketlottery.aspx
In other words, the school hasn't even issued any tickets yet, so the majority of people that will have tickets (and may want to sell them) don't even know what game they are getting this year. What you're seeing for sale on stubhub are likely season ticket holders that get the same seats every year and expect to have them again this year. FYI, if you buy now, don't expect your tickets to arrive soon.
As for whether prices vary as the year goes on, the answer is yes and it mostly depends on how good the team is and how high demand for that particular game is. Quality opponents like Nebraska usually draw higher prices. If you were local, I'd say roll the dice and try scalper. I like craigslist myself because I can meet the seller in person, but I'm in Columbus. You could still try it though and have the seller ship them, probably at your expense.

Ahhh...thx KC, I was wondering about the issuance of tickets. Maybe I'll wait until they're issued then go hard for some.
