I get the questioning of the validity of the call, had it been the other way around I would be upset too as a Buckeye fan. The problem I have is that, EVERYONE, is acting as though this was the only reason that Ohio State won the game. How many phantom calls went against the Buckeyes in the 2nd half if you want to talk about officiating. Better yet, how about we talk about the players, the coaches, and the plays. What about Iowa State not being able to grab the rebound on OSU's first miss under 0:30? How about Iowa State having a 6'6'' guy guarding craft (6'1'' maybe) in the final seconds and not being able to alter his shot? Iowa State played a heck of a game and could have easily went away when they got down by 13, but they didn't, don't diminish what they did by blaming the refs. I understand the fan base being upset about it, but this whole thing is getting a little out of hand in the media (I know I shouldn't be suprised).

I agree. 40 total fouls in a 40 minute game, one a minute.
Now lets talk about the Illini getting ripped off on the out of bounds off Miami at the end of the game that went the to Florida. Probably cost the Illini the game, given when it occurred.

They actually played Miami.
+1 to the OP. I thought for the first 39 minutes of the game, we got pretty fucking hosed by the officials. Constant ticky-tack shit calls against OSU and then the same thing would happen on the other end and no-call by the officials. It's just more anti-Ohio State hate because we won. We're used to it here though. Embrace the hate!
How about adding on three tenths of a second enabling Iowa St to at least get a shot off? That was a complete gift. It should have been one tenth. Did Indiana play such great defense that with less than one minute remaining they only had three fouls on them? No, but the ref's failed to see their fouls unlike what they did to Temple.
It's just another opportunity for others to hate the Buckeyes. Wouldn't be nearly as big an issue if it happened to another program. My suggestion is to enjoy the win and laugh at all the whiners.
it was made into a much bigger deal than it should be. was it a charge? probably not. did that lose iowa state the game? absolutely not. there was a 1:45 left in the game. that's like 30 minutes of real life time.
Count the bucket and we still won by 1. I can't blame Barkley for not being able to count, especially if he is using his championship rings to do so.

look up at me and you see a god;
look straight at me and you see yourself”

Laughing at Barkley is really easy he is such a fat pos!
That charge on Craft has me bewildered,, why is it that that line under the basket the only line on the court that you can’t suspend over? We got a imaginary line u can’t see. Half court, foul line , an court boundries u can hang over an have to phyiscaly step on to be considered over , now we have a line that isn’t like that under the basket? Makes no sense to me
100% agree, watching the game at Roosters and almost the whole bar was moaning all game over some of them calls. It reminds me of the pass interference call against Miami in the national championship game, no one remembers the pass interference 5 minutes earlier that was missed and made it first down or the holding calls missed ect ect only focus on the end game play.
i just think it's stupid cbs asks a guy who's job is to be an analyst for the nba for 51 weeks of the year to suddenly be a college analyst for 1 week is nothing more than a ratings push since charles always gets the ratings
In my opinion it was a charge. There was no concrete proof of it otherwise. Yes there were numerous calls out there I disagreed with but this wasn't one of them. The missed Craft shot at 30 seconds was clearly tipped out by Iowa State regardless of Barkley's belief it was out on OSU.
Game over move on.
my opinion is the same he beat the guy to the spot, an was set, his heel was above the line? or in front of it but sure as hell wasn't touching it. btw i loved this utube excerpt guess he was having a few lil guilt emotions coming out,,lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVzoOy6Xx9c
I think with the slo video it was the wrong call. However, NO WAY WAS IT A BAD CALL!
The play happened so fast and the ref had a split second to see 1. a line. 2. Crafts heels. 3. Did Craft come to a stop before the player got there. 4. Was the player in the air before Craft was set. All in a split second. Basically it comes down to a judgement call and it went our way. Wrong call, IMO probably. Bad call, not a chance in hell.
I went to a lot of sites that talked about this and from what I seen there were only a few ISU fans complaining about this, most ISU fans thought it was just another call and they still had as much chance to win as we did. Most of the fans bitching were fans of other schools.
There was some controversy on the late charge that Craft took on Clyburn with 1:41 left and whether Craft got outside the semi-circle that denotes the no-charge zone. Here was the response from John Adams, NCAA National Coordinator of Men’s Basketball Officiating, to a pool reporter in Dayton regarding Ohio State-Iowa State game:“I spoke with the official, and he determined the defender established legal guarding position outside the restricted area prior to the offensive player leaving the floor to start his shot,” Adams said. “When asked, the official said he did not see the defender’s foot over the restricted area line. By rule, this is not a reviewable play.”
Everyone in the media needs to quit b!tching about this. It was a close call that could have gone either way. It wasn't a big deal until Charles Barkley started crying and moaning like a little girl. Even the announcers during the game said it was a good call.
Wasn't that the asshole that shouldered into Craft during a timeout like a thug? Yeah...Hey Niang -- Karma's a bitch. To borrow a phrase from another asshole, "Deal With It".

Barkley should go look at Kentucky robbing OSU in the tourney a couple years back if he wants something real to complain about. Its over Chuck, let it go.

Sounds like people think this was the only bad call of the game (if it was a bad call).
If this call was made early in the game we wouldn't even be talking about it.
The worst call of all time was the hiring of Barkley by ESPU.
