“I’m going to build a leadership committee of people that I trust,” Meyer said.
“They’re those freaks we’re talking about. They’re different. Not necessarily the fastest guys on the team, or the strongest, but they are going to be the most committed guys in our program. We want our entire team to watch exactly how we treat the elite.”
"Any board that would ban 3yds is worthless"
At least one of them should be a no-brainer.
“One guy is No. 54 John Simon,” Meyer said. “He’s a freak.
“He has the self-discipline and work-ethic most of us can only dream of. I’ve not been around a guy like that other than my quarterback, that left-handed kid at Florida.”
He turned out to be a decent leader.
Uh Oh. Now I bet people slam Meyer in the Orlando Sent. about another circle of trust at OSU.
If they come out with "Meyer continues his acts from Florida" story, I will be pissed off.
I can see it now so just giving you a warning.
The only reason they slam him is because that time the Orlando reporter was almost thrown off the field by Meyer for degrading a player at a Gators practice.
Those who leave, will be champions. - Justin Boren
I know Nathan Williams is rehabbing, but I am shocked that we haven't heard his name more often. Although he is not back to the field yet, I expected to hear people talking about him as a vocal leader for the team while he was rehabbing. I really like the kid, and I hope he is back to 100% (or as close as possible) this year...
ill never figure out why people have a problem with stuff like this. everyone in the world has guys they can trust who they use as examples
lets face it life is not like youth soccer where everyone gets a trophy. there are leader and there are followers that will be inspired. if you cannot be inspired by someone giving it all in every thing they do then go deliver pizza. outstanding companies have leadership committees and outstanding team must also.
This sounds exactly like the article, which I said was true. Hopefully this thing doesn't get out of hand like it did at Florida
People have a problem when the players become divas and feel they have a sense of entitlement. Its about OSU football and not a select group of players
not exactly sure what that has anything to do with my post
