Me wanting him at Bama has nothing to do with it. If you've read anything about Bell on either BOL or your board, you know that hes most likely choosing Bama or OSU. Simple as that.
You sound like a lot like people on our board who can't fathom a kid not picking your school... Especially when he still might.
don't waste your time.. Sugar Crystal actually believes his own BS..really he does, very surprising but he does.. So save yourself some time.
Too logical, too obvious, too simple, therefore unacceptable to this board...
3 out of 4 BCS titles. It shows you how much luck is needed to win Championships in CFB. They shouldn't have been in last year, not winning or playing for the conference title and they backed into it this year because the two teams ahead of them lost after they did (much the same way LSU did in 2007.) I know they are at the top right now, but to not see how lucky they have been is crazy. With all this plus Colt McCoy's injury, they have had just as much luck as talent.
Good to know, thanks.
im 3 national championship games they have outscored their opponents 100-35. have they been lucky? absolutely. show me one team that's won a national championship and hasnt had major luck go their way? hell, we may have been the luckiest champion in the history of college football. id rather be lucky than good any day of the week. my name on this website was built off of the luck of 2002.
you mention 2007 lsu, well 2007 osu needed 6 teams in front of them to lose and they did. luck happens. im not going to use that as an excuse to knock a dynasty
Fantastic if he chooses us but one player doesn't make a team, we'll move on with or without him. Best of luck to both teams.
I wasn't knocking anything. It was an honest appreciation for how much has to go a teams way in ONE season to win a NC and translating that to the 3 seasons Bama has had. It just shows how crazy this sport can be and how stupid the BCS actually is. Not a dismissal of their accomplishments by any means.
got ya got ya.
Funny...I live in a 200k home in a very nice neighborhood. .
And the trailer comment from your bretheren is a good one as well considering the last 20 years the most US mobile home sales per capita was in Ohio and Indiana...just sayn..
I came in peace as well. .just trting to get a little info on VB recruiting trip and ran into this.
Sorry for visiting. ...
But good luck next year, maybe we meet you guys in Pasadena...in my best LL Cool J voice.."Going back to Cali"
"If you can handle the PAIN of discipline, you will never have to deal with the Pain of Disappointment" - Coach Nick Saban
dont let his stupid comments in this thread give you an idea of what the majority of buckeye nation is like
No problems here. We have the same kind of posters as well. I have a tremendous amount of respect for you guys.
As bad as I hate to say it, Urban Meyer is a good coach that will get the recruits needed to compete with the SEC. You guys just keep beating Meeechigan and hopefully we WILL meet in Cali next season.
How is your schedule shaping up next year?? We start out with Virginia Tech in the ATL..
OSU won't be ready for Bama in 2013 by any means. We could go undefeated (pretty cake schedule sadly), but I don't think our talent level is comparable yet. Watch out for 2014, though! 3 top 5 recruiting classes ready to roll, and Braxton Miller as a seasoned veteran.
werent ready for miami in 2002 either. both teams have to get to pasadena before we even talk about it
I'd rather play against the 2002 Miami team frankly, Coker was iffy at best. Saban coaches on a whole nother level. 30+ days to prepare for a team with 8 new starters on defense? That could get ugly. I think Urban's gameplanning would be the only thing that'd keep us in that game, personally. By 2014 we'll be veteran, talented and ready to roll.

i mean im not going to just assume 2013 alabama gets there nor am i assuminig 2013 ohio state gets there. 2002 miami was better than any of these alabama teams that have won, and that's not knocking how amazing bama has been. that's how much i respect the 2002 miami squad that going into that game they: 34 straight wins, played 12 ranked teams, 6 top 10 teams, the other 6 ranking now lower than 18. in my opinion that's pretty hard to match. should have won 2 straight titles with the chance at a 3rd v. ohio state
I was getting ready to type a response of how with what Alabama loses I don't see anyway they make it back to the championship game, but I think they have an easier schedule than even we do wow. Thought the SEC was tough?

Ummm sorry you're wrong. If we don't get five star level talent, like the talent that goes to Bama, we are not going to overtake them in a National Championship game. That's the goal, remember. Winning a National Championship.
Alas, you're sentiments are understandable. You live in Cleveland, where championships are the fictional world of Shangra-la, and unattainable. Been down so long, looks like up to you.
come on dude, don't tell me you buy the whole 5* stuff..
Do you know what the recruiting services do, they look at guys with the offers and throw the *'s around . I could care what the star ratings are..or else FSU, USC & the rest of those guys will win the BCS title every year..
its an inexact science, if we followed Bama's recruiting, I think we will have a good Idea on how many of their 5* don't pan out..
heck TJ yeldon was like the #8 HB on scout rated behind Dunn and some other guys, like I said .
you win & you offer someone they throw them stars.. good coaches find diamonds in the rough..
am not saying Bell isn't good or doesn't deserve the 5* rating ..but look at Shane Morris ..these stars are hit or miss
but their conference is soo tough..
and they beat each other up each year, every year.
I mean wow Alabama has a 2 game schedule next year, Texas AM and LSU, that will probably be the only ranked teams they will face next year during the regular season. I will admit Texas AM and LSU will be tough but I think OSU could very easily be undefeated with Alabama's schedule next year, weak SEC schedule.
Was the same 2 game schedule this year. LSU is a tough division rival. Let's see how they handle TAMU in Aggie country. Can only say that despite a weak schedule and losing a game to TAMU, Alabama looked good most of the year and took care of their business in the NC.
so instead i should cry, call a 17 year old names and feel bad for myself because one player decided not to go to ohio state. makes complete sense

cant argue that except that ND was not on the same playing level, would have loved to of seen how Bama would have fared against Oregon but oh well.
