We have 7, UM has 3, (so much for Hoke out recruiting Urban) and the other 10 teams have 4.....
Pretty sad state of the conference....When Urban gets his classes in here over the next 4 years it's going to be SICK the talent we'll have on the field....
Good post. Its funny because Urban hasnt even hit his top gear yet. When he does there will be hell to pay and Hoke knows it
Just think of 7-9 top 100 guys in Urbans next 4 classes.... that's 28-36 over 4 years, which is 33-45% of scholly players.
We've always had talent here at tOSU, but relying mainly on Ohio talent, which was enough to win the BIG, has been stepped up dramatically by the "Urbanator". Michigan will get it's share of some blue chippers, but I truly believe the talent on the field in 2015 and beyond is going to show a large gap in tOSU and the rest of the conference.
Hell, there's a thread on MSU site where they are crying that Urban offered Trout, not an MSU commit, just an MSU Offer....calling Urban a slime, sleez, etc....the fans of the BIG have no idea what's about to happen to them.
Only been enough to win the B1G ?? 5-3 in BCS bowl games, stop making retarded statements. Mainly Ohio? I would say so if we were Texas.. But its been like 50-50 ..
Come on man.
Too logical, too obvious, too simple, therefore unacceptable to this board...
Yeah, we did very well against Florida and LSU, the road game at USC. So yeah, pretty much good enough to win the BIG but not the NC's....You are allowed to admit every once in a while that the Buckeyes weren't the greatest in the world. Urban recognized we weren't good enough to compete day in and day out with the SEC, maybe you should as well..

Obviously you think everything is about talent & speed right, what about heart, determination, discipline, limiting penalties & momentum, ohh that doesn't exist in football ? Then why does Urban emphasis on bringing the "JUICE" intensity and not taping out ?
An angry team a team that has the edge.
Ohh forget about injuries also, think for yourself, stop letting the media think for you.
Personally I think OOS recruits bring unity & elements that unite a team..a bond
Tress recruited OOS also, everyone is trying to make it seem like he is Mack Brown or something that only recruited Ohio..
you're both right
Never said he didn't recruit out of state, in fact, some of our best players were from OOS, which kind of helps prove my point...
2002 class 19 out of 25 recruits from Ohio
2003 class 12 out of 14 recruits from Ohio
Those are the two classes that were Jr's and Sr's on our 2006 game against Florida.....we were a bit slower than they were no?
If you look at our recruiting classes after 2006, Tress also realized he needed to go OOS more and our numbers were much more 50/50 from there on out.
i dont get the reason why someone would get so angry about how someone else worded their point. It may not be entirely accurate but is to a degree. No need to get all bent about it though.
Sometimes there really isnt an explanation to the outcome of a game. Bama got beat by Utah in a BCS game / Florida got destroyed by Louisville...sometimes a team just doesnt show up or whatever...sometimes it is just the other teams night. I dont think we got blown out against LSU...we lost by 2 scores & were winning by 2 scores early. That could be the "momentum" of the game explanation - but not necessarily chalked up to lesser talent. While the USC game in L.A. we looked way out classed talent wise - as opposed to the USC game in C-bus - where i seriously think we were out coached...and I love Tress so thats hard for me to admit to. But - as far as the big picture is concerned - I dont think it is entirely unfair to say we have been in need of 1 or 2 more play makers at times. Or our OL was in need of some better coaching. I think that this whole thing is an evolution in process. I think that Meyer is addressing the area's of need about as well as can be done. But at the same time - it is not like Tress just took whoever he get & hoped for the best either. LOL We have always had some of the top level talent teams in the country - it just appears to be LOUDER lately. for whatever reason.

i think i read this exact same thing somewhere ?? J/K
The biggest thing that people are missing with the osu vs um and the rest of the B1G is the player development and improvement in meyer's teams. Everywhere he has gone his teams have had great d and a powerful offense no matter who the players were. They take who they get and make them the best player they can be. Now that he has better talent to start with than the conference he is in forget about it.
Hoke might be good at this but we don't know yet. He does not have the record to show it. Meyer is the king of B1G until proven otherwise.
