Not.with his family first style since he has a child ... And with the amount of punts he did.. We never would fear losing a punter
During our reduced scholly phase, I would never fear losing a punter... Important? Yes, but with coverage speed and sure tackling as long as the punter can get it out 35-40 yards w/ some height we should be fine for a couple of years
How firm thy friendship O-HI-O
Sure is nice tho in a big game against top tier teams to have someone who can get you out of a jam deep in your own zone with a good leg. Giving a top team possession in your half of the field after a kick is nothing anybody would want. That scenario does come up during a dogfight too.
No doubt Indy, I just wonder what UFM has up his sleeve..Maybe a 2014 stud at punter currently off the radar? Or is there someone on right now?
Jacobs is not a punter? you are thinking of Townsend and he doesnt have a kid, jacobs is the kid from Maryland who became expendable when they got Wilson and Clark

Jt would be distraught at losing a punter. It would've ruined TresselBall.
Don't forget that Frank E can punt too. Besides, with the weapons we're gonna have on offense, we may not need to punt much in the next few years, esp. against these weak ass B1G defenses.
I'm not sure I agree with this. All info was pointing to this young man doing what was best for his child. Something no one should have a problem with, in fact we should be commending this kid for thinking of his family first. An 18 yo of this caliber expendable? I disagree.
why are ppl still in love with tress...? the dude has a kid, with a girl in MD, she's not moving, and he wants to be close to his kid... wish the kid the best. would tress have moved the guy's girlfriend?
OSU has Frank E about 13th on the depth chart at WR who was also 1st All state punter in OH D1, and a pref'd walk-on punter, so who cares if we have three punters...
tress also wouldn't have gotten vonn bell, james clark, and/or dodson last year, i.e. late flips... since osu NEVER got anyone late under tress...

I've said before Andy Groom was huuuuuuuuuuuuge against PSU in 2002. He flipped the field twice when we were pinned inside our ten.
no way tress woulda landed vonn though. no way
Not casting a bad reflection on his decision, but early it was posted by one of the writers that OSU would help him with his decision, obviously picking up 2 players that are ranked ahead of him filling the same role had an effect on that decision. I agree nothing wrong with him staying home and fullfilling his responsiblities to his new child and he can play college ball with his brother who also goes to Maryland, good luck to the young man!
Except Terrelle Pryor and now I wish he wouldn't have!
WTF are you talking about?
Besides, who gives a f### what Tressell would have done besides cause disappointment. Enjoy the good times and let it roll.
Incorrect ... He was a true family man
damn straight....without wilson and clark, jacobs could have come in and played a little
