Hopefully Gene Smith will be fired at 3pm along with Gordon Gee. And what did we learn from this? You do what Auburn and Oregon have done -- deny everything, and wall up with lawyers. All self-reporting got us was an investigation that was dragged out far longer than it needed to be and far harsher penalties than any previously comparable case in history.

I agree we are going to be fine Tornado -- agree we arent playing for national championship next year but I do think we do lose a recruit or two over this. I dont even think Meyer thought we were getting bowl ban. Just hate the NCAA, every pro sport has been ruined and now the NCAA is on verge of ruining sports at that level. They make schools cheat and lie. and the ones that do alot of it just dont get hammered for it. okay off my soap box.

Tell them screw you and drop out of the Sugar Bowl, that's what I would do. The Sugar Bowl I assume would go Ape Shit, oh well, too late to get a good school to play that is bowl eligible. Wish they would have made the ruling before they picked bowls, then it would've been this year. Because we forfeited last year, had suspensions this year & bowl ban next year. Its in essence a 3 year bowl punishment. That's horse shit & way out of line!

Do you have to work at being a douche or does it come naturally?
We deserve punished for what coach and some players did, absolutely. However, my issue is WITH the NCAA in that the ban was out of character in relation to past decisions. I will not even touch on the Miami, Auburn, LSU, South Carolina, etc infractions, or more realistically a lack there of.
Be consistent. Imagine if a real business or even the law worked like the NCAA!!! Complete joke of an association, and that was my belief before the ruling on tOSU.

The NCAA is a joke. The resolved the CAM Newton payoff issue in no time, but dragged this out as long as possible. If this turns out to be true, I have no doubt that they dragged this out simply to innact the bowl ban for NEXT season knowing that if they handed out the ban this year it wouldn't sting as much. I just find it pathetic that they exceeded the norm in terms of punishment for OSU to make a statement about their lax treatment of other programs. In terms of credibility the NCAA has just lost what little they had left.
