  • Michigan vastly overrated. I like it though. The thud will be louder when they hit the ground.

    Razorback

  • 5 of the Top 10 are SEC.

I will be very interested to see what Arkansas does under John L. "Meltdown" Smith. Lots of talent on that roster. 2012 is his job audition, just like 2011 was Fickell's and Withers's.

#8 will fall faster than Brady Hoke after a night at the Old Town Buffet.

  • So, tOSU can not be ranked by the coaches poll?

correct-o-mundo! the coaches poll is part of the bcs poll + it's the final arbiter that officially determines the final postseason rankings. our 1-year ban means we can't receive any votes

the ap poll is a different story...that's the sportswriters and banned teams can be ranked...see 10-2 usc last year, which finished #6 in the ap but wasn't in the coaches poll

    GoBuxGo

  • So basically, every one of our games will be like a scrimmage, since we can't really play for anything. This sucks!!

    bucksandsurfing

  • I'm guessing that UCF is appealing their bowl ban, and that is why they can receive votes despite a bowl ban while Ohio State can't? That's the only reason I can think of.

Ya, the AP poll can still rank us, although the AP is full if folks who aren't real bright, so it's pretty much meaningless.

We will play for the seniors and national recognition. Not to mention prepping for what will HOPEFULLY be a NC run in 2013. And it sure would be fun if we could ruin Michigan's season, especially Denard's senior year. :)

    Razorback

  • Michigan is ranked #8... Great. Now when Denard gets scissored by Alabama in Dallas, the Tide will get credit for beating a "Top Ten" team, further embellishing the idea that there is a giant gap between SEC and B1G. At least if the rankings were just a little accurate, Bama would be beating #20 UM, not #8.

im mind blown by how many, "die hard" fans are still shocked that we cant be ranked or angry we cant be ranked. old news people

With OSU ineligible, the B1G may only be the 4th best conference this year after the SEC, Big 12 and Pac 12. We need the rest of them to step up and fill the void and do some heavy lifting for once. That starts with scUM now that they've been "reborn" as a world power--can they walk the talk?

    iowabuckeyes

  • Why isnt scUM #1?They have the best coaches, uniforms, stadium, helmets, fans, recruiting class.Just ask them.

Remember Mr. Soflabuck, one of the conditions during your probationary period since you were paroled is a limit of one word for all of your responses to various posts. USC is technically three. We'll let it slide this time, but please be more careful in the future.
