Feds launch criminal probe @ PSU

    Of course, no talk of this on PSU boards. They are ALL over the big news about Stefon Diggs tweet though.

    My god, if something like this happened to OSU we would all be on here discussing it, but the delusional PSU people just putz along like nothing is happening. I just don;t get it. Do they not care? Do they not read news sites? Do they ignore? What is it??

  • Good post. Its going to get deep at that school. Its amazing that that some of the psu fans get the serious nature and disgust of Sandusky and then there are a few that haven't a clue (maybe I have it backwards)?

  • since this is just news, should I go start a thread on PSU site? I mean, MI people come here and tell us whenever they pick up a high 3* (funniest thing I ever read) we never recruited. Don't you think PSU fans would be interested in knowing the feds seem to have some information leading them to believe higher ups may have been hiding this crap??

    Boom, you know the deal. 20 square miles surrounded by reality. It's kind of like all this news breaking about South Carolina, Oregon, and now more on PeeSU, but still nothing on E$PeeIN about it. Just a rehash story on OTL about Talbott & Pryor.

What most don't want to even think about is that this entire cover up was done to protect the school and the football program and keep the money rolling in and keep winning. Which would be a big time no no and cause ncaa infractions. I mean, what other reason is there to NOT report a rapist of children? They just refuse to believe that this could cause sanctions within their program and want to say it is simply one bad egg.

  • I'm sure a lot more on Sandusky, JoePa and everyone else involved will come out once the FBI digs their claws into PSU. That place is going down hard if the indications of a big, multi-year coverup are true.

  • Over the long haul, I would say The U as the most corrupt program, see Glenn Sharpe; however, as for the single worst incident, PSU is the lucky winner. No offense to Joe Pa, God bless him, but when an 85 year old man is running your major football program, some crazy shit is going to go down...I hope 409 wins was worth your program being in the dumpster for the next ten years.

  • I understand and agree with you. The psu staff (admin) knew crap was going to hit the fan, I remember Bax mentioning something about speaking to JoePa and saying to Joe pa this is what you meant by something BIG would soon be exposed

  • still nothing on the psu boards. the biggest scandal in their school history (any school for that matter), their university finally posts the subpoena last night.....and no comments. Unbelievable.

    But...they are still all over the Diggs tweet and now have a thread about Oregon's problems. Just keepin it real in the valley.

  • This suggests that the three co-conspirator administrators are starting to cut deals by giving up others (JoPa, coaches, other trustees and administrators) and that this may be a lot worse than the PSU administration wants to recognize.

    Regardless of the fan base, this poses a large strategic problem for the B1G. The Conference must assume that one of its four national brands (tOSU, M, and NE being the others) will be a cesspool for 3-5 years and may never recover its position. If there are federal criminal penalties it is difficult to imagine how NCAA sanctions would not also follow after the criminal cases conclude. So the cloud over Happy Valley could linger as long as 7-10 years and the Conference ought to have a strategy for that scenario, viz., that PSU football is irrelevant for the next decade.
