All scholarship students should be drug tested .. Why just athletes

What that will ruin my college experience.. Except am on scholarship from my job. Any accidents I get tested.

After reading the 11W thread, I have to Agee with those saying they should be on a 0 tolerance. My reasoning the freshman class signed guaranteed 4 year scholarships. If OSU is guaranteeing scholarships going forward( why I think the entire freshman class was tested), there shouldn't be any more free passes for positive drug test.

A lot of college age kids smoke weed. Both scholarship and non scholarship students partake. It is a time in their lives where they experiment. I doubt anyone is being kicked off the team for a 1st positive. If someone is being booted I'm sure they are on their 2nd or third strike. That said until the program announces they booted someone it is only a rumor. I don't claim to be an insider but having gone to school there, employed a few people close to the program and partied in C-Bus for many years I know the percentage of recreational smokers is higher than many of you realize.

I've said this before and I stand by it: I don't want any player on my roster consuming marijuana point blank period because of the effect it could possibly have on his performance on the field.
I don't want one of my players to come out sluggish, too laid back and serene. I want someone who's energetic and ready to go full steam ahead.
Those who've been able to consume the drug and perform well are anomalies just like Derrick Rose and Lamar Odom who consume candy for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

So that would be my reason for sitting them out or possibly suspending them--not because of what the law says about consuming it because we all know they don't give a damn about our well being anyway but I digress.

Like I said, there may be different standards for this Freshman Class, 1 positive test and your done. Zero Tolerance as they are now getting 4 year scholarships, not the 1 year renewable ones. Who knows perhaps there were addendum's that came with their LOI that we are not aware of. College football is a business and maybe that is how Meyer is running the show now. Example you go for a job interview and they love your resume and everything that comes with it, they give you a random drug test on said interview and you fail it, are they going to hire you? Answer: NO!!!
