Husker Fan on Way to Columbus

Because if he is going to Ohio, he should get the full experience. We have a F-ing river that caught fire. A RIVER!

Good Point. I didn't think of that.

  • Nebraska reminded me a lot of Columbus. Similar stadiums. Both great fan involvement. Heads up you can't leave for drink at half. No re- entry. We have to copy that from u guys. Champions club was cool at half. U have to stop by varsity club. Fans will treat u well but not as nice as yours was. Be in stadium at least 17 mins before kickoff for band entrance.

  • The only other thing I can think of is don't refer to us as buck fans. It's Buckeyes or Bucks. Seems trivial I know but there are some that will use it as an excuse to start crap.

This place was on Man vs. Food. I heard that it is amazing. Im a Clevelander and my brother went to tOSU and lives in Columbus. I always want to get there for a burger, but beer drinking and football seem to always get in the way. My brother and his crew are some serious tailgaters.

I know our team has been taking recruits there, but we went and thought it was overrated. We stood and waited in a waiting room for an hour and a half. The "Therman-ator" was impressive to look at, but not so great to eat. If you like pizza try Tommy's on campus the night before the game. If you're early enough, you can walk to College Traditions and Conrads gift shops and pop into the Varsity Club for a drink before calling it a night. Have fun. Especially on Friday night and Saturday day because it's going to suck to be you come Saturday night!!! :)

I love VC. A little more packed than I would like, but still love it.

Yeah, its kind of tough here. Sports teams are the laughing stock. People out of work. One good thing is that for a pretty big city, the cost of living is actually pretty low. The last few times that I have been to downtown Cleveland, things seem to be picking up. The casino should help things, and it appears that people are starting to get back out there and support the restaurants and bars. A few years ago, it was a ghost town down there. Looks like there is a new buzz and hopefully they continue to put things there that will flourish. I think they are starting to rebuild the Flats and make it really nice there as well. I dont know if you are familiar with W25th, but that is the area that I frequent. 3 nice bars all within walking distance and always a real good crowd. Great Lakes Brewing, Bier Markt, and Market Garden Brewery, are all right by the West Side Market.

  • The bars after the game you'll need a drink! Seriously though what are you into? High end restaurants, just having a good time, church, strip clubs, depends I'd guess.
