    But a few years ago my wife was in a romantic mood and asked me "Do you remember the best night of your life?" I said to her "I sure do. It was January 3, 2003. The night Ohio State beat the Miami Hurricanes in double overtime to win the National championship!" She said What about our wedding night?" I told her "Of course, that one is up there too."

    For some inexplicable reason, she didn't see the humor. I got the cold shoulder for a week or so...

    That's funny right there. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • My wife will look at me and say, "On the Buckeye boards?" And I'll say, "Huh? What? Uh, yeah. Somebody's saying that so-and-so is going to do this or that." And she'll sigh and go about whatever it is she's doing. Early on, my avatar was a pic of me and my wife and daughter with Archie. She made me take it off because she's afraid someone will recognize us. If she saw how many posts I have, I think she'd divorce me. I don't know how some of you guys get away with more unless you're single.

    If you can't marry a Buckeye, marry a girl you can convert, someone who isn't going to have divided loyalties. My wife went to a very small college. At one point, it was the smallest football playing college in the country. They don't play football anymore. I tease her by saying I attended (although rarely) lectures at OSU that had more students in them than were enrolled in her entire school. She's become a devoted Buckeye fan. The problem becomes the kids. The farther away you get from the holy land, the harder it is for them to want to take a pilgrimage to Mecca. Our daughter was raised a Buckeye but will probably become a Hawkeye...ugh!

    My Pop got me a Rose Bowl tic Vs AZ. My wife (gf) at the time was spending xmas with us. She told me if I went... don't expect me(her) to be waiting here when you get back.

    This reminds me of a Brad Paisley song; Well I'm gonna miss her when I get home, but right now I'm in Pasadena cheering on my Buckeyes!

  • My wife is a gaytor fan so I tease her every day about Urban being our coach now. Give her all the history about Urban and him being from Ohio. She is a good sport about it. I don't think she actually watched a whole gaytor game all year. LOL

    My wife was born in Saigon. She never watched a college football game before she met me. It wasn't part of her culture. I've converted her.

    She never misses a game. Even though she's a devout live and let live Buddhist, she goes so far as to join me in giving the bad finger salute to the skunk weasels every year as they enter the stadium for "The Game". And she loves TBDBITL.

    Get a Droid, 2 batteries and a cord and your problems will be solved. Works great for weddings, funerals and other social functions, as well. People will think you have important business to attend to... or at least they won't be able to prove otherwise. The judicial system is founded on the principles of innocent until proven guilty and reasonable doubt after all. So I just learned during jury duty, where I was lucky enough to find a seat next to an outlet.

    I had similar situation with mother of my daughter. She gets upset when I'm on Bucknuts tooooo much...

    Ah well. But if my tot daughter needs me then I stop the Bucknuts temporarily.
