I don't know if this really counts as a classic yet, and it's not American, but my choice: 1973 Lamborghini Countach.
The very first model year of the car that ruined me for all other cars. I wanted a Lamborghini from the first day I laid eyes on one. I would have one in the garage if I hadn't driven a Ferrari.

I was real colse to getting one already until my divorce pushed my timeframe back but I want a 1968 Camaro so bad.

I've restored a couple Chevelle's and a 87 Monte Carlo SS. Would really like to find a
70 Monte Carlo SS 454
Just don't see many of them.

Great choice. I also would like a 55 or 56 Ford Crown Vic. A friend of mine has a 56 Vic. (original) really nice.

Love the old Chevelle SS...always been a dream of mine to find one with a clean body to restore.
dk...funny you mentioned these two cars. My uncle restores Monte Carlos and I obviously would like to restore a Chevelle. Together we have restored 5 or 6 Vettes from the 70s to 90s styles.

I was also going to say 67 GTO. My uncle has one.. all original.. bout 15K miles. He has recently started giving away some of his cars. My dad got a 67 Buick GS400 and my brother got some sort of early 70's Cadillac. Both cars were also all original. But he won't part with the GTO! He gave away the other cars... I'm willing to give him money for the GTO!! Ah well...

Either a '57 or '55 Chevy. I had a '57 when I was a senior in high school and before that I had a '55 Chevy panel wagon. I started to restore (fix-up) both as a hobby. My dad owned and operated a Sohio service station so while working there with some free time I would work on my car. This brings back great memories. For example, a customer would pull up to the gas pump and they would run over cable that rang a bell. I would then go out and get their "order" and pump their gas which cost 32.9 cents a gallon for regular, and cleaned their windows and checked their oil. Good memories. The cars were great. Big, clean and built for speed and that is how legends are made!! USA USA USA!!!
