I think he just means that he's visiting scUM next. Or am I missing something?

  • if i am reading that right, he posted that 14 hrs ago IB....just a visit.

But I do think this effects kids who have yet to commit more than it does kids who have met Urban and been here and have committed....imo

Yes but now Fred Flintstone has some real ammo to use against us, if I'm 17 years old, I might buy into his bullshit!

Agreed. Dunn and Pittman are in. I think that sends a signal to all the others that might be shaky like Spence and Schutt.

I still think we get Neal and Davidson and perhaps Williams.

The only ones I am worried about are Dodson and Diamond. We just need one of these two assuming Davidson commits.

  • Jordan Diamond is already a Premadonna. At this point you know at least 2 schools you want to attend, the rest is posing and hype...and yes, even for a 17 yr old kid

  • unless there is a mass exodus by the current recruits, osu is fine. Even if we don't get one more recruit, we still have a top 10 class. A month ago, that would have been unthinkable. This will have no impact for the 2013 class. Keep the current commits in place, and all is good.

  • Spence is still in and so is washington

We will be fine. Looks like all of our guys will stay with urban.

Now, if Diamond does go to Michigan, there O-line committs will match our d-line committs.

For all the praise we arwe getting for our d-line; Michigan will get the same praise for their O-line.

Let them have him, that means that they will now have SIX OTs
That leaves less room for skilled athletes OTs cannot score any fucking point last time I checked.
    Flintstone is a trip.
He just wants him because we do.
The last thing he needs is another OT!
    He already has FIVE!

  • Shouldn't matter for Dodson and Diamond, or any other o-lineman, they most likely wouldn't be starting anyway. I know we need them for depth, but the bowl ban shouldn't be a big deal their freshman year.

    Buckasaurus

  • Really?- i get that going to a bowl game is important but if that is how you decide which school you are going to attend than i don't know if that is the type of player you want. Football is a team sport where each week is a battle with your teammates and its about playing with them and the bond you have with them, the school, the coaches the fans. Ohio State can play a potential of 14 games a year that's 56 over a 4 yr career. Missing two games should not mean much.

I won't cheer for Matt Barkley at USC but they asked him if not playing in a bowl game would affect his decision to turn pro and he said not at all, that playing one more game meant nothing to him and that his decision would be about his teammates. That's the type of response i would want from our players.

  • For all the kids that want to jump ship--JUMP! Its a 1 year bowl ban and believe it or not there arent alot of true freshman ready to play when they first arrive regardless of any stars or ratings- period. In two years when we are in a BCS bowl -Have fun watching us at home. We want faithful and dependable Buckeyes, the kind you can trust, NOT the type thats in it for himself that will go sell his team memorabilia for a few bucks! If your still unsure then you are sure. BUCKEYE 4 LIFE!

  • USC fell into a bucket of shit and came out smelling like roses. If we have some players who would like to leave due to zero playing time let them go, they have a right to see if they can see the field
