It doesn't look bad to me, I think they should do it. At least their fans will have something to talk about.

Somebody will die on that field due to heat. Maryland should just concentrate on getting a competitive team on the field before they start busting out gimmicks.

Boise did once, back when they were in the WAC and seeking credibility; now that they've gotten it, though, that blue field is in their DNA. But if they want to be respectable, they'd get rid of it.

Which brings us to Maryland--what's their excuse? Last year, they tried to be the Oregon of the East with different Nike-desired/state heritage-inspired unis for every game. Now, they're following the lead of non-BCS teams like Boise and Eastern Washington (which has a red field). They are seeking an identity and by latching onto fringe gimmicks in the hope that it will make them stand out, draw fans and attract recruits.

I guess it's one way to show your commitment to success but nothing helps more than winning on the field. The more they do this kind of Mickey Mouse theme park nonsense, the more I come to the conclusion Maryland'll never be worthy of consideration into the B1G.

Stupid idea for Maryland if you ask me. I think the team has to be at least decent in the past few years to make a change that makes it seem like they r something. They r just aweful

This is getting so tiresome, whats next? Maybe the next team to jump on the gimmic bus will install trap doors on their field.. I think its cool to do a special uni every once in awhile, but football doesn't need stuff like this. I'm not even an old school guy, i'm 22 years old and it just sickens me when schools feel the need to grab attention this way.
