I know spring practice starts tomorrow and I'm not sure what the practice schedule is like this week, but what you do think the chances are Urban makes an appearance to support his Buckeyes?!?
With the game starting late (845pm EST) I wouldn't be surprised to see him show up in the Big Easy supporting tOSU.
Go Bucks!

Do you really think Coach Meyer would leave the state the night before spring practice starts? Hes more pumped about this spring practice then any basketball game, i can promise you that. He probably wont be able to sleep the night before. This is his home, this is where he learned to coach this is where he grew up watching football games. On the night before he finally gets a chance to get his hands on his team, The Ohio State Buckeyes, do you really think he will split to go see a basketball game? Coach Meyer will be ready to take this team to National prominence and it starts with this spring football.
Go Bucks

But for what constructive purpose? So that if the cameras show Charlie Weis's fat smug mug again, they can immediately pan to Urban in the crowd? And what would that accomplish? That our coach is better looking and more fit than Kansas's?
Back in 1988, before John Cooper coached his first game as OSU's new head coach, he was featured in a series of commercials for Kroger. They were all shot in the summer before his first season but they did not run until the fall. A new spot in the campaign was introduced every couple weeks but even though they'd been produced months before, the public's perception and outcry was that Cooper was shooting the commercials during the season and his focus wasn't on his #1 priority, which was his team, which was struggling and would finish 4-6-1. It became a PR nightmare for Cooper and Kroger.
The past is prologue; he who does not learn from it is doomed to learn from it--Urban can accomplish more by staying home and taking care of his business than showing up live on camera in New Orleans. This is a guy prone to overwork and exhaustion. Why does he need to be on parade when he could be relaxing with his team and letting them know his focus is 100% on them?
Ohio State's basketball team won't know he's there nor care. My concern is that it could send a message to Ohio State's football team that he is not singularly focused on them.
