Oh so true. This is the only chance early in the year for the Big Ten to salvage some of the pride the conference used to have. I understand why Bucks fans don't ever want to root for Michigan but if U of M beats the Tide or plays close, it will do wonders for the perception of our conference and the Buckeyes in particular when we beat them last game of the year.

In theory, we might fare a little better against Alabama on the scoreboard because we have better defense, but not much more of a chance at beating them than Michigan does. I'll be one of the few TOSU guys cheering for MIch in this game. I'll pretty much cheer for any team from any conference against SEC powerhouses as I am sick of these teams winning every year.

Even if anyone said it, the entire topic is irrelevant. We won't play Alabama this year and can't play Alabama this year. The only way OSU plays Alabama this year is in a video game or a simulated computer match up. And the only reason anyone would do the latter is if we go undefeated and Alabama goes undefeated and the "what if" discussion piques enough people's curiosity to merit it.

This year? Probably not. The offense just isn't going to be able to consistently execute at a high level like they would need to in order to score on Alabama. Now our 2010 team I would've put up against any team in the country. I think in 2010 we would've beat Auburn (who beat Alabama) had we not dropped that game to Wisconsin in Camp Randall.

Hoke hasn't played against Ohio yet I don't think so don't get your expectations up on that 2-0 thing. I know your basketball team lost to them in the NCAA tournament, but I doubt you'll play Ohio unless you go to the Little Caesars Pizza bowl or something.

Unlike you, I prefer to live in the real world and in the real world, Ohio State will not and cannot play Alabama this year. That's an indisputable fact so what purpose does it serve to predict if we'd win or lose?
