Mike McCray

  • I am glad we finally offered. McCray is a very talented player ( listed as # 9 player overall in Ohio and #1 LB by Rivals). At 6' 4" 230 with good speed he would be a welcome addition to any program. The fact that he is also a legacy should have made this offer a no-brainer. What I think some folks forget is that these kids want to play as soon as possible. At scUM he might play as a Freshman....and I am sure he was told this by Hoke. At OSU, unless we are wrong about several recent recruits, he won't see much time on the field till maybe his Junior year....2015.

That would make sense if Michigan had no depth at LB. As it stands, Michigan started a freshman at WLB, a freshman at SLB, and Joe Bolden is already in the 2 deep. That is without getting into the 3 other LBs recruited last year and Gedeon in this cycle. Early playing time will have to be earned to pass the other guys on the roster.

Oh, I think he gets it. Loud and clear. That's why he and Charlton and Morris and all the other scUM commits showed up wearing scUM gear for the NFTC Combine in Columbus a few weeks ago.

and why tuley-tillman just posted that picture on twitter burning a recruiting letter from tOSU

Great. Did not realize Michigan had so many young LB's that are as good or better than OSU's. Should make it that much easier to flip McCray if he is so inclined.

  • I dont understand why Kimbrough has not been offered yet. McCray will more than likely be a Wolverine when all said and done, but dont count out OSU as long as Meyer is the HC.
