So, no reason to call me scUM dude. I wasn't addressing you, unless that is your a closet Gator Troll. This is an OSU board, so I will be prone to post things pro-OSU. So call me a homer, but just because I think most of the B1G schools have more tradition than ANY SEC school, with the acception of maybe Alabama, is for me to say. Oh, and I don't recall mentioning ANYTHING about NC's, so don't put words in my mouth, stick to what's said you'll look a lot smarter. JMHO

Calm down, quit with the chest beating. Yes, Florida and most of the SEC don't have the tradition of the Big Ten but you were implying that Florida was a flash in the pan that will go back to its pre-1990s status as a nobody and I don't think that's going to happen. Michigan fans like to yell about ancient wins to claim superiority and that's what you were trying to do, claim our tradition as trumping Florida's recent success and most people don't care much about that. I'm sure we'll always have more tradition than Florida and that's great, but deriding them because they don't have the tradition we do and trying to demean their recent success with it won't fly.

Your an idiot dude, I'm on an OSU board, and I'll "beat my chest," as you put it, as much as I like. Heck, in my OP I said UF was a stepping stone for Urban, seems to me that's a bigger slam than knocking someone's so called tradition.
It's people like you that make me wanna be done with the boards all together. Shut up.

So you're such a blind homer you can't deal with someone that presents an opinion opposing yours? I never insulted you or even tried to do so yet you're getting your panties wadded up in a bunch. Like I said, calm down, you sound ridiculous.
OSU has WAY more tradition than Florida, but Florida does have plenty of success in the past few years and what I'm saying is that trying to bring them down with their lack of tradition when they've won 3 NCs to our 1 and beat us head to head twice is a weak argument. Just because this is an OSU board doesn't give us an excuse to make absurd arguments.

Actually, I check out some Gator boards at times. From what I have seen most of of the posters have gone from the "Meyer destroyed us" mode to "who cares, he left, so be it. We did get 2 NC's out of the deal." So in all honesty, that article looks to me like something to get people fired up, and nothing more. The guy needed to get some interest built up. Most Gators that I know are actually pretty good people and classy fans. That article was nothing more then an attention getter.

Well let's hope the Gator fans you know are more representative of the overall sentiment of Gator Country because the ones I know of and have heard, are amongst the most obnoxious, bratty fans in all of CFB.
And I can't believe that Will "gotascrewlooseredneck" Muschamp would echo their sentiment in the leadup to the Gator Bowl by saying how "they should be upset [with how Meyer left]" WTF? I'm thinking to myself how if he didn't retire then take another job, you'd still be the coach in waiting at Texas for the next decade. I've never heard such a dumbass response. If he stays, you don't have the HC job. You're not coaching your hometown team in other words.
But bottom line is we just need to hammer them three straight games in a row just as our basketball counterparts have the past few years.
