....you NEED to watch the vid
Bill Belichick and the Patriots had one of the biggest head-scratching picks in this weekend’s NFL Draft when they selected Ohio State’s Nate Ebner in the sixth round. Normally, a guy from Ohio State wouldn’t be very surprising considering OSU is one of the best football programs around.
But examine Ebner a little closer and you’ll see that he’s not exactly the typical Buckeye taking the pipeline to the NFL.

Takes a real tough dude to lay the wood to people like that with no helmet or pads on. I'm honestly surprised more ex rugby players arent playing professional football. Seems like such a natural transition.

How was he not our starting TB the last few years? He's certainly faster than anyone we had, and I doubt anyone is that physical.

I'd love to see guys like Beanie Wells, Shazier, Katzenmoyer, Doss and Whitner in their primes out on that rugby field. I have a feeling Jack Tatum would hit just as hard without pads. My guess is those guys all would look dominant. It wouldn't quite look like the clips of Jim Brown playing lacrosse at Syracuse, but there would be a big difference in player quality. I can even recall Dhani Jones going to play in some Irish league for a game. Without much practice he actually looked half decent. Oh course, Dhani probably was drinking Gatorade while the rest of the team was pounding Guinesses to wash down their Shepards' Pies.

That's not to imply Ebner isn't a beast. Would have loved to have seen him more on the football field last year with that spirit.

People obviously weren't watching him at all on special teams the past few seasons!

"He only played three snaps at safety in his entire collegiate career, all during his senior season." Damn, maybe that was one reason we were 6-7 last year? Hhow many snaps did Joe B. have? Just Saying!

He should've been returning punts and kickoffs considering how that had been one of our glaring deficiencies after Ginn left for the NFL.
He clocked at a 4.47/40 and there's no room for him on the punt and kickoff return team? Ridiculous.
You had him, Donnie Evege among other DBs here who could run in the 4.3s and 4.4s who were only used to run down field and tackle. And don't get me wrong, you need fast guys on that end of special teams as well--esp when the oppositions' return guys are blowing past the likes of Andrew Sweat.
BTW nice track--beat, lyrics and all else. It fits with the fast-paced highlights provided.
