Why? Is it better to let the players pine over the ex-coach who is no longer there? Allowing tressel reminders only promotes excuses and possible mutiny against the Fickell and his staff. Its time to circle the wagons and embrace who is there, not someone from the past.
Tress can have his name in the ring of honor or something done by the school in 10 years or so. The current players need to move on and stay focused on the task at hand.

Let them talk about it, have an open door policy, address the team about it.
But you cannot have his presence lingering over the program. All that does is open the door for JT not being there as an excuse when soemthing goes wrong.
I agree with Italian, support Fickell openly if they must do something.

You're making an assumption that the kids can make that separation. Right now, its easy to do it. If and when things get tough, that's when JT's shadow will loom, especially if there are constant reminders of him everywhere.
Luke did the absolute best thing, get rid of all reminders of Tress. Its Luke's team now. That's not disrespectful to JT, its reality.

29,000 children have died in recent months in Somalia due to starvation.
Let's talk about that!
People come here to escape an ugly reality that they have little or no control over.
I pay Social Security, etc... even though I know it won't be there for me when I retire.
How do you suggest that Bucknuts posters resolve drought, famine, violence, mothers killing their children, or pending economic disaster?
