Just curious is this the same thing as "Loss of Institutional Control" or are they separate lawyerspeak terms?

they are separate terms. failure to monitor is not as severe as lack of institutional control. if true, this is terrific news.

It's really sad that SI and Yohoo news really were the one's that scared the admin and BOT enough to not weather the storm....sad that Tress is gone over this...I mean, one more person found in addition to the 5 games suspension and we lose our coach? Just seems sad that they caved so easily....I am elated with the news here but very saddened at the cost of Tress for just the one more allegation of wrong doing....seems like we will more than survive this and I say let Tress talk to the team prior to the Meatchicken game.

Hi Steve, question... hw does this good news from the NCAA today, help Ohio State's chances of landing a big name coach this fall after the season, assuming Luke Fickell (cheering for Luke and a special year though) is one & done. Thanks. Go Bucks!

If there is no postseason ban for next year, they should be able to go and get whoever they want (provided that person wants to coach ... at Ohio State or anywhere else). Again, Fickell is the man until we hear otherwise.
