Everyone in the world wants to watch the swim races live yet the retards at NBC couldn't figure it out. They ruined it for every US citizen that watches the Olympics every 4 years. So millions have been trying to watch Phelps/Lochte/Franklin/Soni online. They are the stars yet NBC can't see that. What a worthless company.

oh come on indy. people make time to watch events i mentioned above, whether by stealing company time or taking days off or calling in sick, whatever. i know plenty of people who watch the british open and watch the opening rounds of march madness. i also know plenty of people who are on this site right now who have jobs.

Hey, if the ratings are there and people are tuning in to watch someone who won a gold medal 10 hours ago do it on tape delay, so be it. I just know that I am not one of them. I saw that Gabby Douglas won a gold at 3:00 or whatever....was not about to wait up until 11:30 to see if the internet was lying to me.
Also, if an american did not win the gold, I would guess ratings may not be as great. Not many people would tune in to see 2 russians place 1-2, so I think NBC got a bit lucky with Gabby winning.

I haven't watched all of the coverage but I have seen most of it at night on NBC. I keep reading that NBC is getting hammered because most of the events at night are on tape delay and not shown real time live during the day. The only question I have is what is NBC supposed to do? Prime time in the US is 8:00-11:00 pm EST. London is 5 hours ahead of us where it is 1:00 to 4:00 am. What events should NBC be televising live during those hours in London. NBC payed hundreds of millions of dollars in rights fees, mostly for prime time viewing They have to show the big events or no one will watch. Where am I going wrong with my viewpoint?

If you have satellite or cable. I've got a Toshiba excite excite tablet with an Nvidia Tegra 3 video chip which is supposed to be a decent one. And NBCOlympics.com plays like the guys are streaming it are on Quaalude-absolute slow motion. I haven't had any luck watching there.
