I'll probably wait for the 5 to come out then ditch the droid.

Depends what you are interested in... some critical telephony apps are:
• WhatsApp (free SMS to other smart phone owners, iPhone and Android)
• Viber (free phone calls to other iPhone owners)
• Skype (free calls to other Skype users)

mig...I actually really like my droid however I ditched PCs in my household for Macs after suffering through 20 years of PC bullsh!t. Never again. So with that change I'd like to have everything compatible. We have a couple Macs, iPad, soon to be MacBook Air and my phone will be the last to get converted over.
If it weren't for the compatibility issue I'd keep the droid.

I have the galaxy S II and like the phone. My first smart phone was an I phone and really liked it. The only two things I don't like about the iphone was using iTunes (hate that entire process) and not being able to use flash player (I couldn't see a lot of videos on here).
I have a regular home PC that was built by my friends that eat, breath and live computers. Inexpensive and real fast.

I've heard good things about the Android phones. Indy, sounds like Steve Jobs's strategy of not supporting Android worked on you.
But I've been a Mac guy since 1984. So I have everything except an iPad at this point. But that will have to wait until I replace my laptop with another Macbook Pro next week.
I hope Apple doesn't lose its mojo now that Steve Jobs is no longer with us. What he did to bring Apple back from the brink of collapse is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend his biography.

I went with the iphone 4s a little while ago. I love it. But, yes...not the best for texting. I couldn't give my kids an iphone if I tried...they text too much and just don't like the keyboard. But the apps, camera and all the other good stuff was worth the switch-but I went from a blackberry.

apps: yahoo sports app is AWESOME, twitter, facebook, cnn, usa today, pandora, tunein is AWESOME, you can listen to any radio program anywhere(so if you're a clevelander and you're not in cleveland you can still tune in to espn 850), then games i personally enjoy hungry shark, words with friends, cover orange
