  • I have had a blackberry for several years. my company just told me to get an iphone 4S as one of our mobile apps we sell only works on iphone and droid.

    what can i expect? is it faster? easier/harder to do anything than on my blackberry?

    I have verizon and my current blackberry is a Tour.

    It's amazing. I went from a blackberry storm 2 to the iPhone 4s and it's night a day.

    also, i have heard it is not 4g compatible with verizon? is that true and does it even matter?

    boom, you will love it. Has a 247 app. I have one and could not live without my iphone. I have the 4S version. It will take you some time to get used to but once you do, you will be hooked.
    I had Blackberries for years. IMO, iphone is way ahead for guys keeping up with their favorite sports team. Blackberry is good for the business world.
    Let me know if I can help you with anything. I've had an iphone for about five years now. They are really easy the use.

    i really only do use my blackberry for biz....but that may be because it sucks for everything else. so maybe I will use more outside of work. just what i need....to be able to get on bucknuts more!!! lol....my wife will love that.

  • Booms, the jump from the Crackberry to the new smart phones is like coming out of the dark ages. It's only a matter of time before RIM goes under, they've been on the deck a few times only to scrape themselves off it.

    I have the Droid and can't comment too much on the iPhone, however I hardly use the keyboard, I just talk into it now...so much faster and it does a pretty good job, iPhones have the same feature. The qwerty on the droid and iPhone (I'm pretty sure) is bigger than the Crackberry.

    Anyway, the ones I know that ditched their Crackberries have never looked back regardless of the platform. Good luck.

    thanks indy....+1 for the help. yah the rim issue is a problem...they may not make it out of 2012. then again, according to the mayan calendar none of us may make it out of 2012!!!

    I have not had any problems with any apps. I have not had any problems at all. Is your iphone through AT&T or Verision? Did you get the Otter Box for it?

    Yea, PM me any time. Be glad to answer any question you may have. You will find that the phone is pretty easy to use. I'm still finding new things on it.

    Best $50 bucks you will ever spend. Get a car charger too. Only bad thing about an iphone is the battery life. It does suck. It charges fast. You will need a car charger.

    Used a bb for about seven years before switching to iPhone. I got mine about a year ago so I do not have the 4s version. It took me about a week to get used to emailing on it. I travel a lot so I email on it constantly and it is absolutely no issue. I love all the apps and features vs what the bb had. It is addictive.

    I just went from the iPhone to the galaxy s 2. I feel the iPhone battery lasted longer and charged faster. I will probably go back to the iPhone. The only thing I hate about the iPhone is itunes and not being able to use flash player (which limits a lot of things on the net)

    Why do you need itunes? I have an iPhone and I rarely, if ever, use itunes.

  • Maxie, I think what he means is iTunes controls everything you do on you iPhone now. They changed about a year ago. I might be wrong. I don't want to speak for him.
    If you want to down load music you have to go to iTunes. If you want a ring tone you have to go to iTunes. That's the draw back or to them. That's the money maker. JMO.

  • THEnut, iTunes is the big money maker for apple. Everything goes through iTunes now. I'm not into music that much so I don't spend a whole lot of money. I have to go to iTunes to set up my account and updates and that's about it. If a person likes music then iTunes can cost you a lot of money. Nothing is free for iPhones but I won't have any other phone.

  • I'm a huge music fan and collector. I have an iPhone and listen to music on it all the time. I don't buy music through iTunes and I never use it on my phone. I don't do musical ringtones, but I know there are plenty of ways to do that without iTunes.

    Still don't know why iTunes is an issue, I guess.

    I don't get the iTunes thing either? It delivers the music you want right? Seamlessly integrates with all the other Apple products not to mention iCloud which is going to become a big deal to me both personally and professionally.

    I recently switched from the curve to the 32- 4S.

    It's definitely an upgrade. The 3G network is everywhere and connections are rarely an issue for me.

    The outlook capacity is excellent and the apps are a ton of fun.

    And, last but not least, you can talk to Siri all day long , she's a dirty little whore. Lol.

  • My wife has the new iphone 4s. She loves it. She's had every new phone I think the last 2 years. She gets an upgrade about every 2 months. She hated the droid and the droid 2.

    As for me, I have the same phone Ive had for the last 2 or 3 years. It aint broke, so I aint fixing it. (I think my son and my wife are absolute morons for how many phones they have been through)

    i hear ya....i can't believe how often some people upgrade. before today i had this blackberry since jan 2008. and if my company did not ask me to get an iphone and pay for it.....i would have it another 4 yrs.
