  • I guess I might have caved in too.

  • Yah, YIKES!

I haven't heard of OSU going after anyone yet, but I wonder if (since we are in the middle of our sanctions) we are even allowed to sign these guys or go above the limit like the NCAA has allowed.

    I would guess not.....anyone know??

I think if a team is on sanctions they have to ask special permission from the NCAA to recruit form Penn State, I read that somewhere the day the sanctions were announced.

  • "Hi Penn State, this is the NCAA calling, accept the unprecidented penalties we have set or we'll be even harsher regardless of the results of the pending criminal cases and give you four years for daring to question us."

    What an organization.

By the way, NCAA, how are those Auburn, Miami and Oregon investigations going? Ahh, never mind, you got to impose your will upon a school that wasnt allowed to even attempt to defend itself. You've done your work for the year. Just as long as the SEC is allowed to win another national championship with the extra recruiting class every 4 years.

Chuck, you're funny. Now insinuating the NCAA is pro SEC.

I swear I saw some Big 10 ADs and PAC10 commissioners and even OSU people like Doug Archie as members of the NCAA. But if you want to keep believing that the NCAA wants the SEC to win all the titles, keep at it brah.

Urban said today in his Media Days presser that we will not be pursuing any of their players because he has a problem with that even being allowed to occur. He feels like it's ok if kids contact another school they want to go to, but he doesn't agree with coaches from other schools being allowed to go onto Penn State's campus and actively recruit their CURRENT players. In his words "we won't be doing it".

This is absolutely something the NCAA needs to fix.

  • I am thankful PSU didn't get the death penalty.

PSU football probably makes up 50% of Happy Valley's GDP. So, the death penalty would have hurt a lot of people who own hotels, restaurants, gas stations, or those who work in association with the game.

Focus should be on punishing Curley, Schultz, and Spanier, and finding out why law enforcement, DA, media, and others allowed Sandusky to walk the streets for an additional 12-13 years.

This goes way beyond JoePa and PSU football!
