I've stated in other threads I don't down vote anyone for personal perspectives thats what these boards are all about. I don't understand the down vote objective I feel from the short time I've been on board the lower star people are the ones that buck the homer mentality. Not everything can be positive & rosy, feel like there are down vote nazi's out there if you don't agree with popular opinion. NO STARS FOR YOU!

I've dropped DVs but it's generally because I thought someone was over the top in their posts to the point of becoming offensive, e.g., making racist remarks. But let's face it--there are also trolls who come here for no other reason than to wreak havoc. Often times they swoop in, post outrageous statements, and then leave, leaving us to scream and yell at someone who isn't even around to hear it. Many of them have no desire to engage us in a meaningful dialogue or debate. That's when I down vote because otherwise I have no other recourse than to feel angry, violated and helpless, like someone just broke into my house and spray-painted swastikas and graffiti all over the walls.

I have never posted on another team's board and have no intention of ever doing that. I am quite happy here but I understand not everyone is going to get along. I respect people who say things that push the envelope, force people to think by initiating a dialogue on a topic that may be unpopular or polarizing. The problem is that by pushing the envelope, too many others will show their disagreement not by debating them but by down voting them, which to me is chickenshit.

I, for one, would be perfectly happy if 247 got rid of the stars.

I don't feel it is necessary or responsible to sit here and gloat that I banned these guys.

Cavs, can you please comment on the purpose of the stars? How are they affected by up votes and down votes? To the best of your knowledge, does any other fan site have a rating system for its members?

and while Cavs is at it, can we sh!tcan the whole system?

So people say some crasy stuff at times but hey now tbats what makes us the best damn fans in the land we all have our own opinion and point of view Dont take that away!!!!! I hate Michigan and Wisky Sssssoooo Mmmmuuuuuucccccchhhhhh!!!!!!!!!
