Ok, the QB's were recruiting in the class of 2013 were:
Malik Zaire, Jt Barrett, The kid who looks like the kicker from the Waterboy (I think his name is Bailey), Trubinsky, and Chavas Rawlins from Pa. These are all good kids, but Zaire committed elsewhere, Barrett is really interested in Baylor, The Kicker took us out of his top 3, Trubinsky is a universal 3-star (not that its a bad thing) and still needs to work on his mechanics. But, I really like his running abilities. As for Rawlins, I dont know much about him.
But, for the class of 2014, there are some real studs. We are getting a lot of interest from QBs like Drew Barker from Kentucky, William Crest, and even this kid named Jordan Severt from Texas (who reminds me of Andrew Luck).
Now we do have a slight need for Qb (Braxton will be a sophomore this season, Guiton a junior, and Cardale Jones a freshman), but do you think taking 2 qbs this year would be a reach, especially if some of the higher ranked qbs decide to go elsewhere?

+1. I agree 100%. Braxton will be a SO, but I believe Guiton (JR) has really improved to possibly be a solid backup QB. As for Jones, I think he will be the starter for 2 years after Miller leaves. I think w/ having Marshall in this class, who can play QB if a 4th string QB is really needed that bad, also limited scholarships & Guiton improving, points to us taking only 1 QB for 2013.
I honestly think we should only have 1 QB per class but we only got 3 current QB's on scholarship. Taking 1 in this class, hopefully Barrett, if not, then maybe Bailey visits and puts us back in his top 3 group. I think if we would take Bailey, he would come in as an ATH.

I like Marshall as an athlete, but him as a qb would be a questionable move. When he comes in in 2013, Philly Brown, our current Percy Harvin hopeful, is going to be a senior and Guiton is going to be gone. Its just a risk having just 2 athletes and 3 qbs on the roster, especially if the two are unproven

With only 3 on scholarship, our depth at QB is a concern. There's not a lot of margin for error, especially since the QBs carry the ball a lot in Urban's spread option and Braxton's proven he's fragile. We need at least one 2013 QB. By the time these guys get on campus, Braxton will be going into his junior year. We need to be ready for unplanned contingencies--hardship, injury, academics. While it's encouraging to hear Guiton's coming along--how many of us were screaming like raving lunatics last season for him to get a shot over Bauserman?--he's had his RS year and will be gone after 2013. While I can see Marshall running some wildcat ala Teddy G in the 2004 Alamo Bowl win over Okie State when Troy Smith was suspended and Justin Zwick was playing on one leg, I don't see him throwing the ball. He'd be a safety valve and nothing more.
I think we will sign one guy who's a QB and only a QB (Barrett, Trubisky) and then a guy who's a great athlete but more of a project as a QB who, if he doesn't cut it there, can still see the field at WR or DB, someone like Tra'Von Chapman or Jevon Harrison. That means #2 is more likely to be an Ohio guy who commits late.
We've seen this scenario played out before: Zwick was the stud QB who committed early, while Troy the project who committed late and actually played special teams as a freshman.
