It's true. All professional players are grossly overpaid. Let them stand watch in Afghanistan with the Marine recon units for 3 months and they'd all come home with their tails between their legs and happily work for $500,000 to catch a ball or put it through a hoop. What really pisses me off is that many of these players make all this money then promptly piss it away on big ticket items like mansions and Bentley's, then when their 15 minutes of fame are over go bankrupt because their so fucking stupid they spent all their money! When I see the money that A Rod, LeBron, Ray Lewis, and some of these other primadonna bitches make and the way they handle their affairs, it makes me sick. Our priorities as a nation are fucked up and it's only getting worse! How the hell does the NCAA think that any coach can enforce all the rules with 100 kids on their team? It's a joke just like the government and the NCAA!

Please paste the link in your browser and listen to an era long long gone....where now men such as Jim Tressel don't have a prayer......because we....and I have to include myself because I'm as much a part of this society as anyone else...we as a society have repeatedly condoned very poor behavior that has now transferred from professional spoiled brat athletes...and has trickled down to collegiate athletes....and is now even infecting higschool athletes. It's fu_king sickening to tell you the truth.
If I had somehow the power to intervene with how things work on the professional sports level....I sure as hell would! I'm no socialist....believe me....but I have to tell you...if ever there was a time where a somewhat socialist attitude should intervene with something....it would be with professional sports.
Basically I don't watch them any longer. If I had my way....I'd tell the owners and the players to go fu_k themselves....and I'd put a limit on their salaries where they wouldn't get paid more than $500k....which believe me...is ample for anyone.....especially getting that kind of money for playing a fu_king game for anywhere from 4 months to 6 months out of an entire fu_king year! And these so called men sure don't play the game because they love it....they do it because the want $$$$$$. It used to be the best part time job in the world. Now? Hmmm...
Our priorities are so far fu_king out of whack it has to make a reasonable person wonder....we have people who work 24 hour shifts....putting their lives on the line for others....who make less than $50k a year....and they don't have a 6 month vacation that's paid for them.....people who take care of our sick and old, people who teach our children or try to....people who collect our garbage etc. etc. and they don't get shit!! We so very much take those what seem to be small things for granted......
And instead we throw our money away.....that's right, we totally and completely waste our money paying every last, hard earned dollar to watch some NFL football player who has actually beat someone to death outside a night club in Atlanta....just for example....and put him on a pedastal and have our young children look up to him as a role model. That's just one example of many examples! Or how about attempt to rape some woman in a mens restroom at a bar for another example.....
And we really wonder why these kids...such as the TAT 5......do what they do? Do you honestly still believe they really give a damn about tOSU?
I hate to burst your bubble...but they don't!! If they did...they would have never done what they did in the 1st fuc_king place! But it's not about the team, the coaches or the program or universities....it's about getting mine....what's owed to me and screw everyone and everything else!!
Do I sound bitter and cynical? Yes...I do! Because until we decide to make some serious changes with how we go about things....it's only going to get worse. I'm done truthfully....each and every year I move farther and farther away from sporting games especially on the professional level.

if this is going on EVERYWHERE...as many are saying....why haven't ex players from ANY other school come forward and said as much?? I am not saying I think it only happens here, but when I never hear this anywhere else it starts to make me wonder. There is no ex USC guy with an ax to grind? No ex Texas player?? Where else is this going on?? Guys transfer ALL the time and in may cases they HATE the school they left behind. There was no dirt at that other school they want to unload?
If anyone has any info or links about Taylor Mays or Percy Harvin telling a reporter that they got car deals or sold rings.....please post for us to take a look.

The difference is that Taylor Mays and Percy Harvin have both done very well for themselves at the next level.
Ray Small is nowhere near the ball park of those guys.
All Ray Small was concerned about was getting his.....according to him all he had to do was "score touchdowns, B-fly and look good all at da same time!"
So theres the difference.....Ray Small didn't want to put in the time or sacrafice those things he wanted to do in his life that he cared more about.....and at the same time....wanted all the accolades that someone gets who does put in the time and effort.
Typical kid with the entitlement frame of mind.......so when life happens as it does....he certainly is not prepared to deal with it....and so the blame game continues and ofcoarse...The Ohio State University is to blame for it.

It is a case of supply and demans. Last I checked there are only a handful of athletes on this planet good enough to attract people to spend $750 on tickets or $50,000 on suites to watch them play. There are thousands of kids leaving high school with no other option but the military.
I will never be critical of these athletes making millions. if someone is dumb enough to pay a person $20 million to play a sport, why should I care. Let them blow all their money, its there money afterall to blow.

Look at the rip job his former team mates are giving him. Seems to me that he was a trouble maker from the beginning and continues to be one today. So much so that his former team mates are calling him out all over the place as a liar.

There's a much bigger picture that we've all been a part of that contributes the most to the current condition.....
And the environment that enables that dumb person that you are talking about who pays an athlete $20million to play a game......is actually created by you, me and everyone else who tunes into whatever channel they happen to be playing that game on.
Why should you care? No one is saying you should. You don't have to care about anything.
.....it's interesting to think that back in the late 60's into the mid 70's....there were still millionares and billionares....and none of them were professional athletes. Professional athletes from that time frame had to pick up part time jobs in the off-season.....and most didn't mind because they considered it an honor playing professional sports. That carried over into the mid-80's for some...but the multi-million dollar athletes started to surface in that span of time...now....even the lowest paid athletes don't have to lift a finger during the off-season......I can tell you first hand...that if 90% of us on these boards made $250k a year, we would be living a damn good life.
Do you honestly believe that Peyton Manning would continue to play football because he loves the game so much.....if he could only make $500k a year doing it? I don't believe he would...nor do I believe any of them would for that matter......but I would love to be pleasantly surprised.

Some people might use all those, not me. I don't even think JT is innocent. I believe he made a mistake and should pay the price for it. An appropriate price. That may be where we disagree.
So about Titus having no agenda and multiple players and ex-players calling out Ray?

Do i think there is some truth. Yes, I do. The last few months have shown us Fraud Tressel does not have a firm grip on the program.
